Oh yeah, the related mixes, I never thought of that! OK, I just got off the phone. It was my about-to-get-married cousin, and appearently the wedding is postponed, AND is going to be held in Turkey somewhere this summer. Which sucks balls, because I can't afford that kinda trip at the moment, and because my mom's pregnant, I would have to travel with my cousin's family, which is a no-go, because that entire family gets on my nerves already with their wedding prep and whatnot. Besides, I don't want to spend my entire summer vacation in Turkey with a bunch of people who would never let me put on a nice mixtape in the car. Bitches.
Nevertheless, I am still going to tave a look at the travel/scenery mixes. Maybe I'll do a train trip here in Denmark instead, just for fun.

I don't think there's a search thing but if you go into my mix there will be mixes on the right hand side that have a similar theme. You can try and find them through there. It's a bit tricky I know.

There was a point where I loved the shins. I still do, but I don't listen to them much anymore. I got bored with them I guess. Phantom Limb is good, yeah I've heard their new album.

I once went to Turkey with my parents by train, but I was only six, so I don't remember anything other than a handful of photos of me posing with my short Japanese-schoolboy-lookalikey hair do in a big white cabin. But I'm pretty sure I didn't have any music to listen to those couple of days.

Do you have more travel tapes? My cousin is getting married in a few weeks, and I have to get on a bus for aprox. 2 hours (one hour to get there, and then 1 hour on the way home).

I've entered the 7 year mix contest (!). My first ever MTC contest (!).

We don't actually learn it in school...well, no one I know ever did. School's just motivating us to learn English, and then television takes care of the rest.
I don't know if our schooling system looks much like other countries' in Europe, but I doubt it actually. Anyhow, I dig it.

Yeah well, you're even cooler than that. You know German and you know Italian, and you did that by yourself. I ONCE tried to learn a language on my own (Japanese, eeck!), and I quit after four months because it was just a free course for youngsters and I always wanted to do something else on those Wednesday evenings anyway... So yeah, if it wasn't for our schooling system, people like me would never stand a bloody chance abroad...

Backpacking sounds so fun. My former best friend (she came to Denmark in 2002 because her father had some work to do, and went back to Iceland two years later) has been to Australia, England and various other places backpacking in every single vacation the past two years, and I'm turning green every time she tells me about it.
And Nams...oh yeah, she's the one with the funny cat avatar? I peeped her once.

I think it's pretty neat as well. We start off with English at the age of 9, and when we're 12 we add French or German to our schedules. When we leave junior high at 16, we can choose to either stick with French/German, or spend the following three years learning a new language aka. Spanish or Italian. Some schools even offer Japanese, haha.

And THANK YOU. I don't get that very often. People take excellent English for granted, haha.

french is awesome man. I would LOVE to speak French. One day I'm going to learn spanish and french.

The first time I went overseas I went alone. The secong time i backpacjed with a friend of mine. She's on here too actually, her user name is Nams.

I'm so envious of the european schooling system. I wish they taught languages in highschool here!!! I had to choose italian as an elective but i didn't learn much in those two years.

I'm quite bummed I didn't choose Spanish when I got to high school or college or whatever it's called when you're at the age of 16-17... But I decided to stick with French, since I had had it for three years already, and I really really want to learn the goddamn language.

I have travelled a bit. I lived in Switzerland for a year and saw quite a bit of europe in that time. Then i went back a year later to see all the places i'd missed.

You must be able to speak a few languages but. I can only speak English and German. I got by when i was italy cos i learnt italian in highschool for two years. I was supposed to be taking spanish this year at university but it didn't work out with my time table... I was very sad about that.
