I remember hearing about some sort of BBC adaptation, but I never got around to watching it. That pissed me off a lot (that they made one) because I had been working on a screenplay based on the book for about 2 years.

Yeah it's great. I got into it after watching a TV adaptation last year, then I got the book out of the library. I've been meaning to buy it for ages although I haven't got around to it yet.
