My point wasn't that having your own view on a topic is a bad thing, but that people are going to bring up their own view with the intent of proving themselves right, not the intent of sparking a good discussion. They'll bring up their own view, and disregard opposing views.
Anyway, I think I've said my piece, so I think I'm done. I'm afraid that if I keep talking too much more about it I'm just gonna get upset and do exactly what I said I wanted to avoid on MTC.
