Wow, one of your mixes is doing swell in the ratings! But remember, Bob Dole did 'swell' in the primaries...

are single artist mixtapes banned?
I know technically they wont be mixtapes per se but, any rules or guidelines?

You could just call it a best of or something. For it to be good, wouldn't the artist have to have done tons of albums?

I agree with jaysix. If it's done well it can be a great mix. But I have an inkling that there are only so many artists that could pull it off well.

there are really no rules except for it has to have 1 track, 3 keywords, and a description. after that is up to you..

my first mixtape on here was a best of Queens of the Stoneage, and it didnt go so well.. one of my lowest rated mixes..

so, yeah you can do it, just dont expect it to do so well. :)

Despite the fact that TEAM ROBOT was crushed like a Pabst can at a frat party by the might claws of TEAM MONSTER, you are still deserving of a badge... Loser.

I was thinking of doing one featuring an artist who has been in loads of bands and played on loads of peoples records. It would feature that guy on all tracks, but only a couple of the songs would actually be in his name.

I like that idea. Somewhat similar to your latest contest mix.

Yes, I forgot about that one, and it was only the other day I looked at it. I was thinking of an older musician like maybe Ginger Baker. I read today that the woman who wrote 'Long Black Veil' died. That has been recorded by so many people in so many different styles. I was thinking I could do a mixtape where the link was that all the artists have done a cover of that song at some time or another.
