You know, after doing this contest I've realized that:
a.) I somewhat surprisingly don't have THAT much in sad songs, and
b.) The ones I do have are old favorites, rather than anything new or progressive. I think sad songs are a comfort of sorts like a baby blanky or chicken soup when you're sick. The known standbys hold out the best.
