I am totally going to learn those languages too. :)

Backpacking sounds so fun. My former best friend (she came to Denmark in 2002 because her father had some work to do, and went back to Iceland two years later) has been to Australia, England and various other places backpacking in every single vacation the past two years, and I'm turning green every time she tells me about it.
And Nams...oh yeah, she's the one with the funny cat avatar? I peeped her once.

I think it's pretty neat as well. We start off with English at the age of 9, and when we're 12 we add French or German to our schedules. When we leave junior high at 16, we can choose to either stick with French/German, or spend the following three years learning a new language aka. Spanish or Italian. Some schools even offer Japanese, haha.

And THANK YOU. I don't get that very often. People take excellent English for granted, haha.

I'm quite bummed I didn't choose Spanish when I got to high school or college or whatever it's called when you're at the age of 16-17... But I decided to stick with French, since I had had it for three years already, and I really really want to learn the goddamn language.

OK, so they didn't teach me a complete different language or anything, but oh boy do I love that duo or wot. When all the other girls were experimenting with makeup and what-not, back in sixth grade, I would borrow home every single C&H comic I could get my hands on and just laugh my ass off.. I still do. In fact, we've got a study group kind of thing going on at the moment because of math exams this Friday, and today, while everyone was busy trying to figure out math and shit, I sat in the corner with a Calvin and Hobbes comic and tried not to laugh out loud and break everyone's concentration. Of course I failed at doing just that, big time.

Yes, they are part of the Youth Group of the Hillsong Church in Australia. I saw them in concert last night :] It was so moving.

O MY GOD! I just was scoring the newer people's profiles and I saw you mention to someone something about loving Calvin and Hobbes. They were a big part of my childhood and I still think the book title HAMSTER HUEY AND THE GOOEY KABLOOEY should have won Bill Waterston a Nobel Peace Prize.
