I never will. That's exactly how mine is. The ribbon in the battery compartment is all frayed. How else can you listen to tapes when you're walking, man?

man, i wish i still had my yellow walkman. i actually kind of miss it. how i had to first unclick the panel that went over top the transport buttons, and then open up the main panel and set the tape in place. and how the batteries compartment could only be accessed from the inside. don't ever let go of yours. don't ever let go........
