Yeah, I did a high-school philosophy course and found the same thing. I mean, in the space of the year we covered 6 units and so it was all rushed and stuff, but kind of gave a bit of a feel for it all, so I wanted to continue with it

I just took a philosophy course this year through correspondance. I really liked reading The Trial and Death of Socrates but I felt as if...with a lot of material in the course...there wasn't enough room to delve as deeply into things as I wanted.

I mean there's always the surface analysing they want you to do...like this one example that Socrates used that's famous about training horses. And he said basically that you'd get a horse trainer to train your horse, not some jerk...and it should be the same for people.

But as much as they wanted me to analyse that and how it's a logical point...and how we believe that in today's society with the example of schools, there was no room for me to delve into the fact that yes we have that, but you could never teach horses classes. you couldn't have a group of horses as you have a group of children and that perhaps socrates was wrong in comparing that.

Yeah, I only really picked Philosophy and English Lit cause they're really open in what you can do with them at the end, and I also like books and philosophy, cause it has no real answers, but you still have to think really logically, rather than say stupid things like everyone makes up.

Well I was in professional writing, but I don't think I really want to be in that major anymore so I've basically just chosen courses that I find interesting and then I'll see what comes of that next year when I might choose a new major. I figure...I don't know what I want to do with my life yet and all I really want is a degree. I might just end up with a BA just for the arts etc.

It's just cool to have my life starting.

I'm shooting for a MA in Philosophy and English Literature. I dunno if degrees are the same there or what, but yeah. I don't move till mid-september.

I'm moving for uni soon too. I have to be in residence by the 27th of august. I just got a mini fridge today! It's so much stuff to do but also I'm pretty excited. I just have no idea what I'm doing with my life.

What are you taking?

I don't have a clue if that means lots or hardly ever. For me, its not been lots recently, but I feel a spell of cranking it out 24/7 for about a month coming up as the whole moving house/going to uni thing is stressssssssss ( that was steam coming out my ears)

It was! We were like little Rainer Maria buds for a while, and we both showed dissapointment at the new album when they released the first few tracks. That album made me sad, big time. I want them to be totally punk about it and just make a racket again.

yeah i wasn't fretting but i didn't want to develop a mixtape collective enemy right off the bat. it was more of one of those things where you like...say it so they can't accuse you.
