Wow, I really want to read bothof those books now! Even though I have a pile of books on my bedside table that I've been planning to read. I love AHWOSG, but I also really really loved You Shall Know our Velocity, so I'm sure I'll be into the new one. Thanks!!

Should you read it? It depends on why you like Dave Eggers -- if you like A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, you might recognize the same person wrote the novel, but they are very different. What is the What is a fictional memoir of a Sudanese refugee, how he was forced from his village by armed militia as a child and spent the next 15 years in various refugee camps. It is not funny, as AHWOSG was, but is brilliant.
If you want something along those lines (funny memoir-like novel) I would suggest The Frog King by Adam Davies.

It was at this event called "Authors on the Move": a dinner where a different author sits at your table for each different course.

Have you read What is the What?
