Below you will find the extracted and combined tags between derhay's and ballroom_pink's tagboard, arranged in chronological order for your viewing pleasure. That would be swell. I made cover art and everything seeing as how I thought I said yes to being in this round.

I will have to check out Lungs. I'm glad you liked those last two mixes, and I would be happy to send you a copy of what I'm sending Cassie, for the Road Trip theme. You know, so you don't feel too left out.
7/14/09 7:53am
Currently digging Florence + The Machine. The debut album is out and called Lungs. And that girl can sing! Slow Club!! 39 Steps - mostly because I've been rewatching Hannah and Her Sisters over and over again. "Don't you just love songs about extra-terrestrial life?" Blitzen Trapper's live version of "Furr" and the stuff from your last mixes.
I forgot to sign up for the latest round of mix club. Maybe my subconscious was telling my conscious (???) that I was too damn busy. My best friend's getting married in less than a month. (She's going to play country music at her reception - should I invest in ear plugs?) Family health concerns. Work. Etc.

I just received an e-mail that confirmed that The Duke Spirit will be performing an "Acoustic In-Store Performance" a few hours before The Black Keys show. I am so excited. I had to tell somebody.
Any new Summer favorites?

Are you saying you did not go to Starbucks around Valentine's Day and get their Sweetheart '09 mix? I think you might still be able to get the album on iTunes. The A.C. track is possibly my first favorite but sadly it has me listening to a Katy Perry song (albeit a cover of a really cool song) on repeat. It also had Rogue Wave covering "Maps," Devotchka covering "Hot Burrito #1 (I'm Your Toy)" and She & Him doing "I Put a Spell on You."
6/19/09 9:47pm
Boiled down - The Duke Spirit will be playing (with Incubus) the same night as a rumored free concert by The Black Keys. Tickets for Duke Spirit are $40 - $65, which isn't great for half of a concert, but I do not want to get a ticket if The Black Keys are actually performing. The Duke Spirit and The Black Keys are my my top last.fm artists, and it is messed up that they happen to be playing the same night out of 365 days in the year.
Yes, I would glady trade Haverchuck with you. I was orphaned during the last round and new music would really cheer me up. Thank you. I can look at your mixes, or I'll take one you think I would like.

Isn't The Duke Spirit amazing! They just recently won me over. I keep buying tracks off of Neptune.
5/11/09 12:46pm
Or maybe Taylor Momsen would be a better Cheri?
3/21/09 6:59pm
Surprisingly I have more hope for Dakota as Cherie. I've only seen Kristen in Panic Room and In The Land of Women.
3/21/09 6:51pm
I anticipated 3/5 of those things too!
3/17/09 6:04pm
Still looking for "Electro-Socket Blues"? I can help.
2/11/09 2:39pm
Tell me you have the N&N soundtrack from iTunes. I bought it non-digitally and now I see that you can have some more songs on iTunes, but only if you buy the whole album. I desperately want the Rogue Wave song played at the very end of the credits ...
2/10/09 7:29pm
I finally saw Frost/Nixon this Sunday (it was great, technically great but didn't aside from hitting my Watergate nerdiness hit me on an emotional level like Benjamin Button).
I ordered N&N on DVD and it should arrive any day now!!!!

Your contest entry could be an "update". I don't know. I find no fault with it. My crud encrusted weekend shoved any memory I had of the contest right out of my noggin. I look forward to seeing your mix. N&N'sIP out on dvd tomorrow. Yay!
2/2/09 9:38pm
I was going to post a note and then I see the Hill Witch and went scurrying to another open tab on my browser. I collected all my courage and here goes: I wish I could post one of my previous non-contest mixes as an entry in the new contest! That's not possible, right?
1/30/09 8:35pm
Hope you get to see Frost / Nixon. I saw that our neighbouring town's mall is now showing it. It has been three weeks and I need my Hall fix. Have a great weekend. Glad you like the mixes. Very glad to read that.
1/23/09 3:34pm
I hope to see Frost/Nixon this weekend. Loving the mixes I got, I'll hopefully have a review tomorrow ish.
1/23/09 3:31pm
Without looking through the book (because I lent it to my BFF who saw it with me), I'd have to say I liked all the stuff that happened at the beginning with the drag queen where everyone sang songs from Sound of Music and then she got to read all the bathroom stuff, the clues.
Despite them changing so much, I did like that they added more to Caroline, because that actress just kicked ass. I think Kat Dennings was just perfect to play Norah. She's amazing.

Thank you for the Rilo Kiley referral. Do you recommend the Nick and Norah book? I saw it at Target last week. I recently purchased 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (Hardcover) and have been taking inventory of my music collection. Good reviews, though, how in the hell did Limp Bizkit's Chocolate Starfish make the list? Pushing Daisies is back tonight!
11/18/08 11:07am
You saw Nick and Norah twice? I saw it, and I'll definitely rent/buy it when it comes out, and I bought the soundtrack. Have you read the book?
11/14/08 3:45pm
After Hours by Rilo Kiley (that's a VU cover) and isn't there a cover on the Science of Sleep soundtrack?
11/14/08 3:40pm
I adore PD still, but the mysteries are getting awfully complicated and I won't even go into that because you had a question about Charles Charles, father of Charlotte Charles. As far as I can tell, he still is the biological father and was the fiance of Vivian (Ellen Greene) and slept with Lily (Swoosie Kurtz) and got her pregnant with Chuck. Lily went to the nunnery, had Chuck (while she told Vivian that she was in France learning about cheese) and Charles took the baby, told Vivian he cheated on her with someone else and that woman died in childbirth. So the aunts are not her aunts by her father. Lily is Chuck's mother and Vivian is her maternal aunt not her paternal aunt.
I'm 97.42% sure about this explanation.
Now can you explain the last shot of Episode 2.02? The skylight? Was that just suppose to be pretty? Because I expected like 2.01 that we would catch another glimpse of Ned's father.

10/14/08 2:33pm
Oh, and Kristin Chenoweth released a Christmas album today.
10/14/08 9:52am
Yes, but I must have missed something, or a few things.
10/14/08 7:56am
Have you seen the two episodes so far of season 2?
10/13/08 9:41pm
Was the gentleman that kicked the bucket, as a result of Ned bringing his mom back, really Chuck's dad? Who was Chuck's "mom" in relation to the "aunts"? I finished season one last night and I feel like I am either looking too deep for nothing, or that I've missed something.
10/13/08 9:42am
Did I miss something? When did Mix Contest 24 start? I thought the Potpouri was 23.
10/1/08 4:07pm
I'll be working, so my clunky old VCR will have to work!
10/1/08 4:06pm
For the record: I've had this up for a few weeks now. Ever since I failed to miss the last contest and decided to visit the site more often. I had it before yours!! You still had that Starter for 10 one.
9/27/08 3:57pm
I got my copy of PD S1 today and one of the little plastic things is broken. It can't stay in place. It's going to drive me nuts.
9/27/08 2:18pm
I ordered my PD Season 1 on Amazon and got it for 18.99! Score!
9/26/08 3:25pm
I'd still love to have a mix exchange, but once my mixee posts my mix(es) you can make your pick or if you have a previous mix of mine you want instead ...
9/12/08 6:21pm
Message me on where in North America to send HF, and I can send it out to you on Monday.
9/5/08 3:47pm
Yeah, I did see 'I'm Reed Fish' and I was nonplussed by the whole thing. Confusing to say the least, but I did enjoy Schuyler Fisk singing. Poor Alexis Bledel, I love her as Rory Gilmore, and even in the first Sisterhood movie (haven't seen the second one yet) but the girl is a charisma-free zone.
9/4/08 7:17pm
You should add a soundtrack, or two, if you do have the time. I'm very curious what you sent out this last round. I sent Surly Booty my Joker and Harley Quinn OST mix and my High Fidelity retrack mix. On a film note - have you seen I'm Reed Fish?
9/3/08 10:44am
I so spaced out on visiting this site lately and I missed one of the coolest mix contests ever. I have had soundtracks on the brain, thanks to FTOTZ latest, stupid stupid me. Stupid slow computer!
Cool Starter for 10 icon.

I'll have to check out that Wii game. Any details? I totally want the WiiFit.
I see that song on RCS.

6/21/08 1:25pm
You had asked about She & Him's "Magic Trick"... it is an M. Ward song (from Post-War) that they performed on KCRW. Some1 from FTOTZ RCS's it through YSI. (Now there's a sentence) I posted the four tracks to RCS.
6/20/08 4:18pm
I guess the Zone is zoning out. It seems to be having technical difficulties. I purchased Boom Blox, for the Wii, and it has been quite a bit of fun. We can't catch a break and find a store with a Wii Fit in stock. le sigh
6/20/08 4:07pm
I got a Wii as well. So no, not so jealous. Do you know what is up with FTOTZ?
6/20/08 2:10pm
April 28 is the release date of the new Portishead studio album entitled Third. I assume it will hit shelves on the 29th here for me.
3/4/08 7:50am
The Marianne Faithfull icon came from Vanity Fair and a history of the British Invasion they did a few years ago. The same artist does those Rock Snob/Film Snob Dictionaries.
3/3/08 5:21pm
I mean doodleBug - http://doodlebu g.desktopcreatures.com/
It was a favorite haunt of mine for a while. You said that your sketch avatar was Marianne Faithful, non? Seeing it reminded me of the doodleBug site. I haven't added anything there for a long time.

You are right about the golden god thing. I rewatched it recently so, of course, it was in my head. The avatar is of Marianne Faithfull all haggard with the effects of being with Mick Jagger presumably. It's a sketch that I found in Vanity Fair. I think the guys who do those music snob & film snob (I have that one) books sketched it.
2/3/08 5:36pm
Congrats on level five and the new badge! Is your avatar a doodlebug pic? It reminds me of doodlebug drawering. Is "I dig music" followed by "I am a golden god!" and then you jump in a pool?
2/2/08 7:23pm
Yay. Glad to see you here. Two days in and your level 3 already. Nice. Keep up the good work. I love your first two posted mixes. ((artwork/covers please)) Have a great day. I look forward to our EC mix exchange.
