Not a pilgrimage, really. We did some touring and saw lots of places, but it was actually a ministry trip. We helped out with a few ministries based in Israel, hung out with a youth group, played at this little cafè, that kinda stuff. It was tons of fun.

I'm doing pretty good. I just got back from Israel yesterday, so I'm adjusting to having not much to do at home. That will all change when I go back to school Tuesday, though. I spent almost two weeks in Israel. It was amazing. I didn't want to come home.
I'm not done with school, though. I was going to finish early May, but it looks like it might be late May now, we'll see. Now I have to get used to going back to class after three weeks off. :-(

Haha. Sadly, I'm too conscientious by nature to let myself do that. But, I'd definitely be able to work for a few months to save up the money I needed and run on cash. That I'd be able to do. I'm good at blowing a lot of cash, just bad at racking up debt :-)
We'll see if get around to it. I know I'll wanna go back to Israel after this first trip. I want to travel a lot, but I also want to be a missionary, so I'm sure a lot of the work I do with my church will end up taking me to cool places I wanna see.

I don't really know what exactly I'll do, to be honest. I'll be starting a new job, and be broke, so I'm committed to living in Medford (where I am now) for six months at my parents'...after that...no idea. I mean, I have some ideas. I could finish school in LA, live with my uncle in NY for really cheap, move up to Portland. The nice thing about the job is that it'll be at Starbucks hopefully, which is transferable anywhere in the country.
Anyway, I'll stay here for a while. I can't just bail on the students I've been working with 'cause I'm bored. I love the guys that I've been getting know to, so I'll stay here and keep doing what I'm doing until I have enough money and feel like it's time to move on. Then I'll figure out where I'm moving on to.
I am insanely jealous of your European tour. I want to do that so badly! I want a flight into eastern Europe, a Eurorail pass, and a flight out of western Europe two or three months later. Then I just want to go wherever I feel like :-) Maybe I'll do that.

Nah i travelled for ages after i finished highschool. I lived in Switzerland for a year, came back for a year and worked to save money so i could go back, and then i travelled around Europe for 3 and a half months. I've done my fair share of travelling.
I decided when i got back that i should probably do something productive and maybe go to uni like everyone else. now i'm just counting down the years til i can travel again.
and what do you think god will have in mind for you?

I'm not totally free to do whatever I want, in the sense that I am basing my decision on what I feel God is asking me to do. Nonetheless, I definitely still have lots of option open to me :-D

For my year off I will probably work and figure out what God's got next for me. I'll keep working with the students at my church, so that won't change. What will change is living at home and having homework, really. I'll probably work at Starbucks, so I'll be committed to Medford (where I live for six months), then I can transfer if I want to.

Yeah that's not 100% accurate. I live an hour out of Sydney.
It takes about 2 hours to get to the beach. I might do it if i were a real beach person but i have an irrational fear of sharks and i don't go in the ocean.
I did actually go in once when i was on holidays last week though. But that was only because i was with 6 people i trusted and helicopters were patrolling the area

i just came back from holidays so i'm relaxed, but i wish i could have stayed longer. every morning i wake up ready to go jump in the pool and then i realise i'm back home.... i don't have a pool. it makes me sad.

Thank God I wasn't there tonight. And school - perpetually. And trying to find a job.

The funny thing about Cloves is they are the only kind of cigarette I think taste good, but they are the worst for you.
I have a bunch of friends who smoke, so odds are I smoke a few cigarettes a day through second-hand smoke anyway. And I know it's bad. I won't even try to justify it. I just enjoy the occasional smoke, not all the time. And I generally don't smoke around non-smokers out of respect for them. If I want to mess up my lungs, that's my business, but I don't want to mess them up, too.

Hahah. (I start a lot of comments that way, I've noticed) It's actually great. I like it. It's a real challenge, 'cause I submit myself to a lot of rules I wouldn't normally have, but it pays out in the end. I'm doing what I really want to do, so it's worth making some sacrifices.
I'm not of legal drinking age in the US anyway, so I technically shouldn't be having wine in the hot tub, or anywhere else, whether or not I'm out of school.

Here is what I learned about the picture we both like so much:
That sailor had been running around kissing everyone. He kissed old ladies, married ladies, probably homeless ladies, then Albert got the one of the sailor kissing the nurse. I thought that was really funny. I always thought it was this romantic picture of a sailor coming home to his sweetheart. Nope, just a manwhore. ;-)
It's still a great picture, though.
