It's nice to not have to digitize full-time any more. I basically do it as a favor for companies I work for when they don't have anyone else to do it. Sometimes it's relaxing, though.
Also 15 hours isn't too bad when it's one-off. I opted to work an epic shift today instead of working on sat and sun.

Yeah, I'm logging & capturing today on an epic 15-hour shift.
Usually they find n00bs to do the loading at a lower rate, so I've actually been doing real asst/editing work, doing graphics and covering up VO and finding shots and up-resing stuff and various other things... so therefore no internet.

Thanks! I Thought of something about an hour ago. I think Im gonna use a tape recorder to record the audio clip, then import that recording into avid. It will probably sound too shitty but I suppose its worth a shot. I might need to ask you a few more avid related questions as time goes on, if thats ok.

Avid doesn't really have audio filters-- I don't know what you could do other than make the volume really low. Maybe you could also put in some sort of low buzzing wildsound behind the "phone voice" so it sounds like it's coming through from far away. I can't think of any way to make the actual voice itself sound static-y or manipulated, though.

Im having a hard time finding a way tomanipulate voice audio on AVID to sound like "phone voice". Avid is all we are allowed to use right now. Any suggestions fellow edit master?

The log lady lives in my hometime and she used to come into my work all of the time. It took everything I had to not mention Twin Peaks, Eraserhead, or Jack Nance to her even once. She has big hands.
