4/10/11 9:50pm
I'm sitting. By the way, I will send you some proxy info later
12/10/10 8:39pm
Well the new version is definitely in the works, so sit tight!
12/10/10 8:37pm
Thanks for all of this. You sir, rock (and roll).
3/16/09 1:11am
Blown away unexpectedly by the new Decemberists album. It is magnificent. Yeah it is contrived a little like all their stuff, but the sound it makes is magnificent. It made me cry, actually.

http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.co m/dt/fleetwood-mac-concert/20053018-2365.html This is a stream of Peter Green's last gig in London with Fleetwood Mac and it is pretty wonderful. Green shared the frontline with two otherrs by this time but the Peter Green led cutrs such as 'Black Magic Woman', 'Before The Beginning' 'Rattlesnnake Shake' and 'Green Manalishi' are very worth a listen
3/8/09 10:54pm
The track "Chinese White Boy" from that album is listenable, just. It might take a while, but I will do you a mixtape of Peter Green and send it to you. I will include some unreleased material
3/8/09 10:46pm
I think its funny how the blog wrote it up though. I trust you over any of them.
3/8/09 2:32pm
You dont say. I guess its good i didnt download it yet then.
3/8/09 2:31pm
That is close to the worst barrel-scraping thing Peter did. It was the early 80's, his schizophrenia was bad and his heart was not in music making, but that didn't stop people hauling him into any shitty studio and trading on his name. His participation was minimal here, just playing bass although even that is questionable

Hey Sledgy, Eric never fixed my tags but it was my fault for screwing them up in the first place. As for Frusciante I admire the album rather than love it. My favorite tracks are the two extras on the Japanese version.
2/26/09 2:39am
Yeah no problem man, Im yelling at Eric to do it right now. I should really invest in a whip so I dont have to leave me room to get my point across while he is in his office.
2/23/09 9:58pm
Hey Sledgy, sorry to mention it again, but I was wondering if you could get my tags fixed for the black history mix contest. I am afraid it is further proof that strong pain killers and mixtape making just don't go togther.
2/23/09 3:45pm
YES!!!!!!!!! Thank you fantastic glorious sir!
2/20/09 9:59pm
shit sledgy, I've done it again, screwed up the tags for my black history contest entry. It's the first decent mixtape i've done in a year as well. On other news, I am working on the first blues post for Spreadgun. Should be up soon
2/19/09 10:43pm
Been enjoying your john martyn post a lot. have reread it once or twice. That video that you posted from youtube really blows my mind. You sir, know how write about things you are passionate about. You are knowledgeable and have plenty of life-experience to relate it all to. And good taste to boot. Bravo sir.
2/15/09 7:28pm
I still havent made up my mind. There are aspects I enjoy, but I think a lot of it sounds alike so I kind of get bored towards the end. Very interesting, beautiful and strange record though.
2/15/09 1:56pm
Got hold of the new Frusciante finally. Need to play it a bit more to have a definite view but so far I am pretty impressed. What do you think?
2/13/09 11:20pm
Hiya. Sbould get the John Martyn blog entry finished later. I have taken the afternoon off to watch old movies while it thunder storms outside.
By the way, could you get Eric to fix my contest entry again. (The Valentine one) I screwed the tags up again.

I've started the John Martyn post but it might take a while

Portland was definitely the right decision although, i am still unemployed. As far as Down Under, The ETA March 30th. Super jazzed about that. For reals.
I would love it if you had links to some music on there. Im gonna try to get the site listed on some mp3 blog websites so it would be cool to be able to say we have mix and mp3 stuff on there. YES!
PS. Top Secret Info: Eric, Corey, and I are meeting tonight in a Top Secret location to start MTC 2.0. YES my friend, It is happening.

Yo Mr Sledg. Funny thing is, I planned to do a thing on Spreadgun about John Martyn even before you suggested it. I'd like to link some music too. I have been a bit ill lately but my theater project is almost done so I will have a bit more time. How's Portland shaping up? Any ETA from down under yet?
2/5/09 4:05pm
Hello there awesome sir!
How is it all going? I was wondering if whenever you get a chance, you would make a post introducing people to John Martyn on Spread Gun? I know you have a lot going on, so i honestly mean whenever. I like the idea of you introducing Spread Gun readers to a different musician every post.

I'd love to do that. I am pretty busy with some theater work, but I will do a post soon. Yeah, the badges are great. Love the Yay ones and mud is always appealing!
1/29/09 11:57pm
Im so sorry. :(
Why am i always the one to be the bearer of bad news?
Anyway, on a lighter note you just gained like a million badges ,huh?
I also had a thought, that if you were still down for contributing to Spread Gun, that maybe your niche could be educating us less-informed folk about your favorite blues musicians and maybe posting an mp3 or two for us to hear them? Maybe focus on one per post? It was just an idea i had this morning while taking a shower. Im living in Eric's house for the time being and for some reason its could for brain storms.

yeah, I hadn't been online all day, then saw your post, checked my email and there was a load of messages from England. John Martyn's music meant the world to me.

Betsy (our truck) was beaten up, but we foolish humans were ok. I had to push Betsy till we got to a backwoods gas station/Mexican store where it felt like we had walked into a remake of 'From Dusk Till Dawn". I had a guitar and amp in the flatbed and my laptop on my arm. From nowhere there were about ten guys standing round saying hello. The owner of the store said that if the tow truck didn't turn up soon that we WOULD be robbed. It was a mite disconcerting and another nail in the coffin of our time here.
1/8/09 9:33pm
I am so glad you are ok! Holy smokes man! Any damage?
I emailed Eric about your contest entry, should be fixed soon.

Hi mate,
hope you can help me out re: the tags on my contest mix. Things go from bad to worse. My wife and I were in a car crash tonight. We were driving on dark country roads when a tire blew out and we spun off into an orange grove. We were pretty shaken up, our truck took a beating, but we are ok.

Hey Ian. i just did a stupid thing. I just stayed up all night doing a mix for contest 27 (not the stupid part) but labelled it mix contest 26 by mistake. (The stupid part) could you use your mighty influence to get the tags changed to mix contest 27?
Meanwhile, Iggy Pop. I love 'Lust For Life' and 'The Idiot' but I have a soft spot also for American Caeser. Iggy is moving toward Stooges territory again, Steve Jones of the Pistols was in his band then I think, and it a fun noisy joy. I saw Iggy with Jones around that time, supported by The Rollins Band and (I think) Dinosaur Jr. That was a good night!

Well I am very relieved to hear that indeed. I hate to see ya going through rough times. As far as music goes, any thoughts on Iggy Pop solo albums? Ive been digging on The Idiot and New Values a lot.
1/5/09 6:02pm
Things are better in our house, which means that I won't be leaving by myself right away, but for our own sanity we need to get away from here as soon as we can. There is so much crap going on here right now, and my health problems aren't helping. Things look better though. I really thought I might have been back in England sleeping on a friends floor by now a day or two back!
1/4/09 1:32am
Well Im keeping my fingers crossed for things to turn out in your favor.
1/2/09 9:11pm
Hi Ian,
correction, I might even be out of here by the weekend. If I am offline a while, you know the reason why.

Not sure where I will be this time next year, or in a month from now come to that. It depends how things work out right now. If I/we stay in California, it would be likely to be in the San Diego area. Gotta get away from this town, it is killing me as surely as LaLa land is killing you and it affects everything, my health, my relationships and certainly my sanity or what's left of it. If things really fall apart, I could even be back in England, but maybe it's a bit early to talk like that yet.
1/1/09 11:02pm
Where are you going to be living?
And Happy New Year right now back Sir Luddite
And Happy New Year right now back Sir Luddite
1/1/09 3:14pm
happy New Year mate. 2008 managed to be a fucking stinker of a year right up to the end, so bring on the new one. You will be back in the place you love, I will be somewhere else than here, exciting visits from the Antipodes are in the offing for you and maybe just maybe a few things in the works for yours truly. Have a good one, love light and peace, Pete
12/31/08 9:07pm
I think it was Christmas Eve but it could have been Christmas Day.
12/27/08 10:41pm
Fuckit, they don't come any more iconic than Eartha. I didn't6 even know she died.
12/27/08 9:03pm
Sorry Christmas wasn't too good. Were you stuck in LA? We went down to relatives in Camarillo which I thought might be awful but it was actually fun, and I even fell off the wagon for one night only which was interesting. Well, it is the few weeks after such a fall which are interesting. I didn't like the leaving at 4 in the morning schtick but all is well. usually someone iconic dies at Christmas but I haven't heard of anyone this year.
12/27/08 4:24pm
Merry Christmas Sir Luddite. I hope its been tolerable. Mine was barely so.
12/26/08 12:28am
Cool. Take your time. I just made a new banner for the site.
12/21/08 4:19pm
i have the mixtape ready to sendpace but I am having uploading troubles. I will try to get it up today so to speak.
12/21/08 3:28pm
Welcome back, if you are back yet. Hope you are doing well
12/10/08 3:09pm
i know you won't have time for this for a while, but at some point check out http://concerts.wolfgangsvau lt.com/dt/dkt-concert/20053249-14729.html it is a 2005 concert by DKT, which features the three remaining original members of MC5. The energy on this really amazed me, it is pretty good.
11/20/08 7:28pm
And I am indeed going where you think I am ;)

The original Voidoids album "Blank Generation" is very wonderful. There was also a Richard Hell retrospective in 2005 called 'Spurts' which had stuff like a version of 'Blank generation' recorded live when he was still a member of Television, plus a demo from 'neon', the Tom verlaine/hell band that preceeded television. It is actually very wonderful, and if I had to buy one recording (there are only four or five out there) that would be the one.
I just looked up what Hell is up to now and I was interested to read he is recording with Marc Ribot and Bill Frisell. If it results in a release it will be the first stuff since he recorded 3 songs with Thurston Moore about fifteen years back. he is not exactly prolific.
I am fucked off right now for many reasons, my health mostly. I have an appetite to do all sorts of things and my health is getting in the way. Enjoy your trip which I hope is to where I think it is, but keep in touch mate

Thank you sir. I actually did track down the Music Machine album. Is there anywhere you recommend starting with Richard Hell?
I know things have fallin off around here, but I assure you that things are in the works and I've just been really busy lately. Im going out of Country on friday and Im determined to have some new stuff going before I go. Also the Halloween badges are still coming, I just pisplaced them somewhere while consolidating hardrives. How are you doing? I enjoyed your new blog entry.

My Music machine lead in Porterville came to nothing, but I found this link today http://mrmeuble.blogspot.com/20 08/05/music-machine-poussent-le-bouton.html It might help. Also, www.hypem.com is a good source to find stuff on blogs. also also, I do have a couple of Richard Hell tracks.
11/16/08 11:36pm
Yeah I have a Stranglers cover of it on my BEST OF comp. Kick Out the Jam and Louie Louie are good calls, as I have many covers of Kick Out the Jams in particular.
11/5/08 11:04am
I do know that when I started playing in bands a lot of people were taken with that particular US sixties garage punk sound, and that 96 tears was always the first song many people wanted to play, as if that particular sound was personified by that song. My favorite was always 'Dirty Water' by The Standells, more trashy but very wonderful. Other songs you HAD to do were The Kingsmens 'Louie Louie', "Woolly Bully' as well as a Stooges cover or three and of course 'Kick Out The Jams'. In the early 80s, The Stranglers had a side project as "THe Purple Helmets" which covered all that kind of stuff and the first single they did was...96 tears.
11/4/08 3:53pm
I was just driving to work and The Music Machine's cover of 96 Tears came on my ipod, and I realized that that has got to be the most covered (non-blues, standard, etc) song ever. I think I personally have about 40 different versions of i t, it seems like. Even Suicide and The Residents have covered it. I was hoping for some of your thoughts on this?
11/4/08 11:45am
This is one of my favorites http://live-b ootleg.blogspot.com/blog.
11/2/08 10:57pm
Thanks for that blog list Ian, there are a couple of ancient concerts up there which I was actually at, it is amazing how many shows I find now that I actually attended a lifetime back. Also, there is some Floyd/Syd stuff up there I don't have which I didn't think was possible
11/2/08 10:42pm
11/2/08 2:29pm
Awesome! Thanks for the heads up!
Im in the process of moving still. I have so much shit its amazing. The funny thing is i cant find much to throw away though because i actually do use and enjoy said shit.

Still interested mate. Let me know if, when and what! Wrist is painful but I am playing through it. Did you move into the new place ok? If you have Tivo or old school video TCM is showing Welles Macbeth at 6 tomorrow morning. Have a feeling you mentioned you wanted a copy?
11/1/08 11:03pm
Hi Sir,
How are you? Thanks for looking at my mix blog. Once I get everything down on there I am still interested in having you contribute if you would like. Things have been hectic around these parts, Im just now getting to all the badges I owe everyone. How's your wrist?

Shit. Hope the new place is a bit safer and that the trip is great
10/26/08 9:50pm
Holy shit man. Im glad you seem to be alright! I want to check you guys out on TV! Hopefully its on after the tenth because Im gonna be out of the country till then.
Im glad to be moving out of my current residence as my roommate situation has been fucked for awhile now. I dream of the day I dont need to do the roommate thing anymore. There has only been once I lived on my own but it was in dorms so it wasnt for real by myself. Anyway, after the third shooting right in front of my house in the last six months a few weeks ago, I decided to go ahead and live elsewhere. Although, the other day, I might have decided to move back to Portland fairly soon. So we'll see what happens when I get back from my trip.

I had a little accident Friday, I was taking music equipment out to the truck before aq gig when I caught my foot in the strap of a gig-bag and fell backwards off the porch onto concrete. I fell so hard I bounced! I got a hairline fracture of my left wrist, bad bruising on my back and cuts all over. However, I played the gig, and a four hour set yesterday. We have just made a breakthrough of sorts, getting a residency, some good local press, a few showcase gigs, and a spot on the Valley Music TV show in December (I believe it is available in LA) and I was fucked if I waqs going to cancel any dates. Actually, the wrist is the one part of me I didn't hurt. It was weird, all slo-mo just like the movies. Just as well it wasn't on video, you wouldn't like that!
I hate moving too, although I am so up for getting out of our present residence (for residence please read shithole) that I am willing to put up with it!

10/26/08 7:17pm
Yes sir, im hoping ill get to it tonight or tomorrow night. Im in the middle of moving, which is my least favorite thing ever besides maybe watching videos of people breaking their bones and stuff. How are you?
10/26/08 6:35pm
I am guessing you are a busy boy, but I was just wondering about badges?
10/26/08 5:53pm
The whole EP http://www.s endspace.com/file/ypkyhw
10/21/08 10:57am
Funnily enough, the track you couldn't get is probably more up your street. It is ethereal and a bit weird, not that I am saying you are ethereal and a bit weird!
I am out getting blood tests and shit right now, but I will upload the whole CD when I get home. The EP consists of home demos only, but I was tired of not having anything to sell at gigs. I have a stock of my first book now as well, so I have things to push. It looks like I am getting a small deal with a little East Coast blues label so I will be bringing a studio CD out early next year, my first release in my own name since 1982!

All this talk is making me want to go back to the desert.
10/11/08 8:20am
Well our truck broke down and we are stranded in some hooker hotel in the aptly named Bullhead City. I have a well paid gig tomorrow night if I can only get home to it. Aaaargh!
10/10/08 10:23pm
10/10/08 2:31pm
Same old story with me.
Im sort of envious, Im one of those crazy people that loves the desert, and Joshua Tree in particular.
Hopefully have time to post a contest mix tomorrow.

10/9/08 11:08pm
My Dad once said that he thought 'fundamental' meant putting me through college!
10/2/08 5:53pm
Yeah! It could be more about the fundamentals (like japanese baseball)
10/2/08 5:50pm
We should start a new genre where its about the guys who come over to play baseball from japan who are considered rookies even though they are in their mid-30's.
10/2/08 4:54pm
Yeah, I have ten or twenty songs about new young players on Baseball teams. Can't get enough o0f that rookie music
10/2/08 4:51pm
I will look into it this evening ;)
Yeah its mainly a guy named Mayo thompson. The newer stuff Ive heard isnt as bad as one might expect.

Didn't know The Red Crayola still existed. Wasn't it essentially one guy? Skip Spence's album "Oar" is a must for you
9/26/08 10:43am
Moby Grape has been on the list for me to hear for awhile, but still havent gotten to them. I havent heard Skip Spence either.
The Red Krayola actually still put out music. They put out an EP and an album in 2006

9/26/08 8:03am
I had this rabid phase of being into The Red Crayola and The Thirteenth Floor Elevators. I think the Red Crayola was active again around 1980? and released a very odd album which I am pretty sure I have back in the UK. While we are on this kind of subject, have you ever heard Skip Spence era Moby Grape and the Skip Spence solo album 'Oar'?
9/26/08 4:57am
Holy smokes! Thank you!
YEah I like that idea too. I will put it on my list of future possibilities.

Thats an excellent idea! I put it in the notes!
9/23/08 9:08pm
One idea I had on the momentum front was that maybe the winner of the November competition could win a special prize, to set the categories for a jolly Yuletide December Potpourri!
9/23/08 7:46pm
Isnt it grand? I just need to keep the momentum up.
9/23/08 6:41pm
You and the man in black. Cool! I share a birthday with van Morrison and Caligula, so I guess that was a good day for megalomaniacs!
9/23/08 9:44am
Im glad we agree on that. Im sure ive mentioned this because I tell everyone this, but i share a birthday with mr. cash.

Yeah, I can see what you mean, but I kind of like how kind of "out of nowhere" it is, you know? The thing i like about the vocal itself is that it almost seems like anyone could have sung it. I dont know if that makes sense, but what i mean is that you could probably drag anyone from a little girl to a member of a senior citizen choir in to record that song and it would still work i think. I know that makes it soound shitty probably, but i mean it in a good way.
9/18/08 9:12pm
Ok, Scotland's Shame is really good, but I think my favorites right now are Sun Meadow and Local Authority. There is not one bad track on album or EP, but I could have done without the vocal on Devil Rides
9/18/08 8:55pm
The album is up on the server.

I never liked going to concerts alone, not even when I was on the prowl because unlike most of my friends when I went to a concert it was to listen to the music. Cave is a pretty prolific tourer so I do hope to see him again. n the late 80s early 90s I lost count of the amount of times I saw him live. I think I saw 4 or 5 dates on the Good Son tour alone!
9/17/08 2:50pm
I'll upload some earth stuff to server. I'll start you with their newest release "The Bees Made Honey in the Lions Skull"
Yeah it turns out im free to go to the show now but I dont think that im going to now because im tired of going to shows alone.

I haven't got favorites from the Mogwai yet, but I will check out the EP as well. The whole thing is entrancing, I know that.
9/17/08 5:36am
Haven't heard Earth yet, but the mere fact you mention them makes me want to
9/17/08 5:35am
That Cave show is a sore point. I was planning to go but stuff got in the way and while Cave is magnificent at the Bowl tonight, I will be playing in front of twelve idiot diners who don't give a shit here in town. Me bitter?
9/17/08 5:34am
Oh sorry, one more message,
My favorite tune on the new Mogwai is Scotland's Shame.
Also, I dont know if you noticed the "Batcat EP" on the server but that has 2 songs that arent on the album inclluding one called DEVIL RIDES that has someone singing on it.

Did you end up getting a ticket for nick cave at the hollywood bowl tomorrow night?
9/16/08 5:16pm
Weird that on a day when one of the few people to make beautiful music dies that I should hear the new Mogwai album. I love it, will play it nonstop till bits of me start falling off.
9/15/08 5:56pm
Shit. That feels like losing a member of the family almost. Thnere will be a tribute mix up later
9/15/08 5:26pm
Rick Wright (the one from Pink Floyd) passed today, btw. Cancer.
9/15/08 3:47pm
I just read your reply on my blog, and I took a lot of it to heart.
Thank you sir. Your POV is always welcome in my world.

I didn't hear it from you, but whoever I heard it from made me very happy. That hawk can howl all he wants as far as I am concerned. By the way, stumbled upon that blog forum thingy and accidentally replied to your USA post. Hope that was ok.
9/15/08 3:11am
You didnt hear it from me, but there might be something that would interest you on the server with all my mixes on it.
9/13/08 4:20pm
Sir, I am proud to be passed by such an awesome dude like yourself. Congrats. I have some mixes to post (including a late entry for the last contest) but am short on precious time at the moment. Soon.
9/9/08 8:29am
Please post some mga mixes so you get back to your rightful place!

Yeah if you read about Modest Mouse's early years on wikipedia, the name Steve Wold keeps popping up. aka Seasick Steve.
9/4/08 11:56pm
Do check out Jah Wobble as a solo artist as well. I am a big fan of Seasick Steve, but I am not aware of any Modest Mouse connection. I have a live CD of a Seasick Steve festival set from England from a few weeks ago that is rather wonderful
9/4/08 8:38pm
Yeah, thats next up on my plate actually. Ill be listening to it tomorrow.
PS. Are you aware of Seasick Steve's history of recording Modest Mouse both in studio and live?

9/4/08 5:07pm
Yeah, that first PIL album is amazing, I particularly like Public Image and Death Disco. The best PIL album is Metal Box. The musical driving force in the band was Jah Wobble, who has made some very excellent solo records. Metal Box also featured Ginger Baker on drums. Musically, it is astonishing actually.
9/4/08 4:36pm
I just listened to Public Image Ltd. for the first time and their first album blows me away! I wasnt aware John Lydon was capable of such things!

New info. The music is going back up on that site.http://78records.cdbpdx.com/ Meanwhile, I will have my mixtape sendspaced in the morning
9/2/08 1:09am
I cant watch the Magnificent Ambersons. The thought that its not the way he wanted it and that all of the footage that was cut out was destroyed makes me feel sick. Im sure its still great but stuff like that depresses me.
9/2/08 12:58am
Citizen Kane, The Magnificent Ambersons, his radio work with the Mercury Theater plus most of what I have seen from the fifties . I got the Stranger on DVD at the 99 cent store for fucks sake. I liked it a lot. I saw Othello a long time ago.
9/2/08 12:41am
The Third Man is in my top ten of all time easily. And yes, F for Fake is the biggest bright spot for OLD Orson. I think of him as the definition of a "True" Filmmaker, even in his older years. The man was amazing and under appreciated almost his whole life. There is still so much I havent seen yet though. The Trial and Chimes at Midnighgt are at the top of the shortlist along with his version of Othello. I own on DVD Citizen Kane, Touch of Evil, The Stranger, The Third Man, and The Lady from Shanghai. Any specific ones you are a fan of besides Third man?
9/1/08 11:11pm
Very cool badges. I just saw Rachaels badge and I get it now. Welles is one of my heroes. The Third Man is one of my fave films. As for old Orson, I loved 'F For Fake'.
9/1/08 10:23pm
Haha. No, it was more supposed to parallel coming in third, ie. the third part of his life. As each "Third" as I thought of it progressed, it was a step down from what came before it so i thought it worked.
9/1/08 8:10pm
Thanks for the badge, and the implication that I am over the hill and only show flashes of what I once was. Two questions.
1. How did you know?
2. How did you get hold of my police record re: the flashing thing?

Still haven't got that album. Will let you know when I do.
9/1/08 2:09am
I definitely agree that this contest is hard. But I think people will come up with some cool mixes.
Thank you so much for the effort for the Music Machine stuff. If there is anything I can track down for you let me know. My super harddrive of music is up to 500 gb so I hopefully have something to offer.

Haven't met the man yet, but I will have a vinyl port of the album in the next few days. Meanwhile, this contest is fucking hard, but unlike Max Moseley, I will not be beaten! Hope life is exciting and as non shite as possible
8/19/08 11:13pm
Wow! Thank you kind sir! If there is ever any way I can repay you please let me know!
8/15/08 8:01pm
We went round to the great mans house, (more a kind of shack perched on another shack) but there was no answer. I went later by myself but again no answer although I was convinced someone was in. i am away this weekend but will pursue the whole Music Machine thing upon my return. I am looking forward to seeing a fine young bouncing baby contest.
Oh yeah, Emmenthal and Irish Cheddar. The Irish Cheddar is in the fridge and the emmenthal is mostly in me!

8/15/08 5:39pm
Haha! Thats priceless. What kind of cheese are you guys bringing him?
Yeah, Ive been meaning to get my hands on an anthology for The Seeds as well, but keep putting it off.
The whole reason why I came across The Music Machine was because I found out that the last two songs on one of my favorite albums, Rocket From the Crypt's The State of the Art is on Fire, are Music Machine covers (Trouble and Masculine Intuition).

8/14/08 10:58am
Oh yeah, the band Kenny Sinner was in was called The Brymers, and they had a few minor hits, but the decent stuff came out around 1967/68 apparently. They had a reunion last year with a new Cd but that should be avoided like the plague itself
8/13/08 8:28pm
My friend told Sean Bonniwell we were on the way tomorrow and Sean asked if we could bring some cheese. I wondered if this was some kind of sixties hipster speak for nefarious goods but apparently it means he wants us to bring some cheese. I have been aware of his existence since I first got here and had meant to seek him out but had never got round to it. As for sixties garage in general, I couldn't get enough of it when I was first really trying to play music. Fred "Sonic" Smith of MC5 and being married to Patti fame put out a long string of "nuggets' compilations with very obscure one off garage recordings some of which were very wonderful. If you haven't heard those, they would be worth seeking out. I had them on vinyl, but they must be available on CD. I haven't researched this, but it sounds like the kind of thing Ace would release.
8/13/08 8:26pm
Well, Jim Ford i read about on Aquariumdrunkard. I recommend starting there. His story is kind of interesting. I really cant wait to see what comes of you meeting this Sean Bonniwell. Is it just me or does The Music Machine's style of garagebandness seem extra abrasive than the others? I love what ive heard so far.
8/13/08 12:30am
Jim Ford I haven't heard of! Apparently Sean Bonniwell is very insane and lives above a garage here in town. Now I am curious about him, so my former drummer is taking me round to meet him on Thursday. There is another guy in town, Kenny Sinner, who was also in a garage band that recorded in the 60s. he is a keyboard player and I played with him in a bar called the Driftwood once. I know that one of his sixties singles is online somewhere so I will find it and get it to you. I will scout around for this Ford guy though.
8/12/08 10:49pm
Ive got another, Jim Ford. Have you heard him?
8/12/08 9:43pm
I can make enquiries as Sean Bonniwell (Leader of 'The Music Machine') lives about half a mile from me in Porterville, and I know a few guys who have played with him, including the bass player of my band. I will try and borrow a copy and sendspace it. I will return
8/11/08 1:05pm
The Music Machine? Thoughts?
I cant find their album "(Turn on) The Music Machine" anywhere thats not an online store.

You are munificent in your moderation oh great one. Nice badge! it is an Englishman's duty to brown nose where needed.
8/7/08 11:30pm
Couldn't wait for a competition, so I did you a mix now!
8/7/08 1:08am
Hi mate. I am good, how about you? I would have loved to go to the Gary Wilson thing, but I have just had a few days meeting up with my best friend from England in Mission Beach, SD, and now I have to pretend to be a responsible adult for a bit and work in order to pay bills, etc. Actually, work involves writing, tutoring and gigging, all of which I enjoy to varying degrees so it is no hardship. Anyway, I am stuck in Palookaville for a while!
As for moderating, if Eric asks I am up for it, but my main concern was that you got the first gig going, and for that I am very pleased.

yeah, I believe I have heard that Massive Attack/terry Callier track, and I liked it a lot. glad you like the blog. I have been meaning to do that for ages. I will probably do a couple more entries tonight
7/22/08 10:47pm
I found your blog very awesome. I like your insight into things. I will continue reading.
Also,
I know i probably mentioned this before, but Terry Callier did a song with massive attack called LIVE WITH ME. Its from their COLLECTED collection which is a greatest hits and rareties in one. Anyhow have you heard it?

Yo. I have a new blog at http://john nyluddite.blogspot.com/ Only a couple of things up there so far but more on the way.
7/22/08 12:03pm
That makes a lot of sense. Very cool. There is an 18 minute track on it that just puts you into the sweetest groove.
7/21/08 6:19pm
It is kind of a sequel, but it was my understanding that a lot of it was material from the original unreleased album. I might be wrong though. Some of it did show up on ;American Stars & Bars'
7/21/08 5:31pm
Oh wait. Is Chrome Dreams II just the official release of the original Chrome Dreams? I though it was a sequel of sorts to an unreleased album. Interesting...
7/21/08 4:54pm
oddly enough, I didn't get the official release, but I had heard most of that material on a bootleg at the time it was meant to be released

Yeah, I know! Im obsessed! My favorite album of his is actually Forgotten Lovers, which is the collections of odds and ends.
7/19/08 11:06am
I just saw some Gary Wilson videos on Youtube. Wow!
7/18/08 3:43pm
Me too! I dig on Terry Callier big time. I saw a documentary about Gary last week and he performed afterwards. He lives in San Diego now and he works the night shift at a porn shop. Im gonna start uploading the two albums now. Forbidden Lovers is a collection of 7" from the same era as YOU THINK YOU REALLY KNOW ME? and then there is MARY HAD BROWN HAIR which was his return. His newest album just came out on tuesday but i havent gotten a chance to hear it yet. I cant wait!
7/17/08 9:06pm
I love the idea of someone coming back after all that time. Terry Callier did it, Peter Green did it twice. There is even hope for me, even though I haven't been anywhere to come back from
7/17/08 2:16pm
If you dig the Gary Wilson stuff I would be willing to upload his other 2 albums that I have for ya.
7/17/08 2:06pm
I am uploading his whole first album to the endysis.org/ian server, should be done in a an hour or two. My computer is being slow. Did you read up on him?
7/15/08 11:33pm
I can upload his "classic" album onto the server my mixes are on if you want. But yeah, check him up on wikipedia or something. I actually got to see him play last thursday.
7/15/08 11:22pm
Thanks kind sir! I am gonna look into all of them. I just finished creating my ultimate external harddrive that holds every piece of music i have ever bought, burned, or stolen. Also recently i have become obsessed with a strange man named Gary Wilson. Are you familiar with him?
7/15/08 11:10pm
John Lee Hooker - More difficult because his best work was not always on albums 'The Real Folk Blues' on Chess is pretty good, 'Hooker N Heat' is the earliest and best of his white boy collaborations, but I would go for one of
the compilations on the Charley label that features really early stuff like 'Going Mad Blues'
the compilations on the Charley label that features really early stuff like 'Going Mad Blues'
7/15/08 10:40pm
BB King - This is the easiest. ' BB King Live At The Regal' is maybe the best electric blues album ever, recorded in the mid sixties just before he fif 'The Thrill Is Gone' He defines electric blues lead playing on this album and it is still an all time favorite.
7/15/08 10:31pm
The Pogues... Like a lot of bands, I think they were at their best before they recorded. I saw them when they were still called Pogue Mahone (Gaelic for 'kiss my arse') at the George Robey pub in North London. 'Rum..' is my favourite, but 'If I Should Fall From Grace With God' runs a close second, and is well worth it. Avoid the post Shane Magowan stuff.
7/15/08 10:28pm
Billy Bragg = The early stuff is the best, when it was just him and his tinny electric guitar. The first proper album, 'Brewing Up With Billy Bragg' is good, but the 7 track ep that preceded it, 'Life's A Riot With Spy Vs. Spy' is the best. It has 'new England' and the wonderfully titled 'The Milkman Of Human Kindness' on it. Later stuff seems diluted and not so angry to me.
7/15/08 10:18pm
Hello, sir, I need some of your wisdom. I was wondering if you could recommend an album from each of the following:
Billy Bragg
The Pogues (besides Rum Sodomy, I have it already and love it)
BB King
John Lee Hooker
Thanks sir!

Shame about Cave. As for the Dennis Wilson album, I have always liked it and I will go for the deluxe version myself now I know it exists. I look forward to your mixes and this will be no exception. I have a "disappointment" mix almost ready to go
7/1/08 8:28am
Haha. That was a great way to put the Hollywood experience! Yeah, I dont understand what the big hullabaloo is about that place, besides the Belushi thing.
Things in sledgy world are slow again. My job ended working on a few flicks and now Im unemployed again with a looming actor's strike and the beginning of student loan payments starting next month. Im gonna be posting a mix tonight/tomorrow as well as uploading it. Its kind of a lovey dovey "for a girl" mix. Hopefully it doesnt make anyone throw up. Make sure to let me know when your band is playing around here btw. Also, sadly, I have to skip the Nick Cave concert as I have a short-term gig that whole week that wont allow me to do much. Im bummed out. Oh well. I guess there is always next time. Word has it that the next Grinderman album is done already. I dont know if its exactly your thing, but I got the Deluxe Edition of Dennis Wilson's OCEAN PACIFIC BLUE and Im digging it big time. It reminds me of living in Big Sur.

Bonjour matelot! Yeah, I am good. I was in your neck of the jungle laqst week. A music biz friend of mine from England was i Hollywood to mix an album and I went to see him at The Ch. Marmont where he waqs staying in bungalow 2, the one Belushi died in. I expected to be impressed with the Marmont, but it all seemed a bit sad, a shadow of something that might not even have existed in the first place. The place seemed full of 9 year olds wearing complimentary bathrobes and smoking cigarettes like it was not the first time they ever had. I was impressed with the big security guy by the underground parking who looked like Alexander O'neal, and given his failure to revisit the charts in the last twenty years possibly could have been. Despite my being underwhelmed at Chateau Marmite, it was hard to go to my ECono Lodge room inbetween the transexual hooker and the family from Bombay there to see movie stars!
Anyway, whats happening in Sledgy world? I have internet connection problems at the moment so my visits have been brief, but kit should all be sorted out later in the week.

Look forward to the mixes. I am listening to wall to wall Nick Cave right now getting ready for the Hollywood Bowl but I have been working on 2 mixes, one about disappointment, the other a 2nd mix of murder songs. Have fun in Oregon. I am off to Ventura for a couple of days, but I have to be back here for a gig Saturday night.
6/12/08 1:23am
I believe hes super swamped at work. No news yet, but I am back in Oregon right now and will most likely see him this weekend, so I'll talk to him about it more.
In other news, I just finished a new mix and will be uploading it along with a few older mixes as soon as I get a chance.

Hi mate. Any news on the site? Has Eric left us forever?
6/11/08 12:52pm
The only time I saw him play was at a Tom Petty concert actually. He came out and played 3 or 4 songs with all of them. He was awesome.
6/3/08 1:33am
Glad you liked the Portishead. I will be in touch about site ideas. At the moment, I am cobbling together a Bo Diddley tribute mix. That man was fucking it as far as I am concerned.
6/2/08 11:17pm
The Portishead Bootleg sounds fantastic!
The only one Ive heard that is better from Coachella is this Daft Punk on I have, but the person combined a bunch of the bootlegs to get all the good sounding parts and layered some to get a fuller osund. This one is great though!
Thanks.
Also, if you have any ideas regarding the site as well feel free to let me know!

I havent gotten a chance to listen to it yet. I just got back from out of town so I'll get to look soon.
As far as the community here, it does seem like it is dying isnt it? I dont want that either. Eric and I actually discussed it over a romantic Chinese food dinner this past weekend and there might be some small changes going on. I'll let you know when I find out more.

6/2/08 6:02pm
Yeah, that is a portrait of Vlad Tepes, done a 100 years after he popped his clogs, but supposedly copied from a contemporary original. Mind you, it also says something similar on Wikipedia, so it is probably all bollocks! Meanwhile, what did you think of the Portishead?
5/28/08 3:50pm
Cheers mate. Bloody hell, I will have to get tickets for Cave! I have never seen Cat Power live, so that will be a plus!
4/29/08 12:32pm
Currently enjoying the Delta Sledg mix very much.
Side news: Nick Cave will beblessing us with his presence in September. He gonna play the Hollywood Bowl with Cat Power and Spiritualized opening it looks like. Other dates in San Fran, Portland, Seattle too.
Really liking Son House

Hope you are still up for some delta blues. I will be sendspacing you a mix of stuff I like in the next few days!

The 1992 Television album was suprisingly good, actually, but its a bit like the situation I find with Portishead now. Their new one is interesting, has some great moments, and all the ingredients that made them what they once were but it still comes as a disappointment. This is due in part to the fact that Dummy had such a catacylsmic effect on me that anything after that was bound to suffer in comparison. It was the same with Marquee Moon. That is si wonderful that it was always going to be hard to live up to. I will listen to any new Television release though, just in case. I think the exception to this rule is Bowie. He has had this brilliant ability to reinvent himself countless times that kept successive releases fresh and interesting.

Quick question sir,
How do you feel about the band Television? Im a big fan, but I was wondering if you had heard the album they put out in 1992 and any thoughts on it you might have. I havent heard it but I have a feeling i shouldnt check it out. I also just read that they are recording a new album as i type this, which makes me scared also. Its without Richard Lloyd too.

Oh man. Way to fan the flames of my obsessive collecting habits. YES!

Crime & The City Solution was Mick Harvey's band. Harvey was with Cave in The Birthday Party and the first ten years of The Bad Seeds. The first Crime albums featured several current bad seeds, and I think the last one was just Harvey. Mick Harvey was also involved with Einstende Neubaten, and I think Cave recorded with them too.

No i havent. Tell me more!
Ill check out those guys though! AWESOME!

Charley Patton is always a must, and my favorite (over and above Robert Johnson) is Son House. 'Deathletter' can't be beaten in my book. \I love Barbeque Bob. I think there are only 8 known tracks by him, but they are wonderful. Not Delta, but very wonderful also is Lightnin' Hopkins. I find that the leap from him and John Lee Hooker to Cave, Mick Harvey, etc is a very logical one. Have you ever listened to Einstende Neubaten and Crime And The City Solution by the way?
4/15/08 11:54pm
I think we have quite a bit overlapping but then the stuff that doesnt is quite different from each other. But i agree, i think we both love our rock n roll. Im finding myself interested in a lot of delta blues lately. Any suggestions?
4/15/08 11:14pm
What I find very very cool is that although you and I have pretty different musical tastes, there is a point of convergence, namely that punky nasty bluesy music that the likes of The Black Keys, Cave and Jack White put out on a good day.
4/15/08 10:01pm
My favorite tune on the new Nick Cave is MOONLAND. Holy Hot Dog that song is glorious. My fav on the new Black Keys is SO HE WONT BREAK. YAY!

Hi Mate, I have been out of town. Had to rush to San Diego to see my Sister In Law who was on life support. She is doing better now so we are back. I have the Racounteurs all set up and ready to play later on this evening. I had my Mother In Law in the car and she finds anything to the left or louder than George Strait to be unacceptable. I will let you know later, and I will also have a go at your mixtape. Cheers

Hello fine sir
Postede new mix for download, not sure if it will be your cup of tea though. it turned more and more metalish the more i played around with it.
Also, thoughts on new Racontuers album?

yeah, my idea of 'fixing it up' is making sure the wall speakers are up.
Just got hold of the Portishead album. I am taking off out of town again, so kmore when I return, but so far, 'Silence' didn't get me on first listen. All the elements of old seemed to be there but noit coming together. On first listen of 'Hunter' though, I was really impressed. It was weirdly beautiful in a waay only Beth Gibbons can be. More later!

I understand what you mean. I think that its just all of the history of these places coming together at the same time while you are there. I went to Hearst Castle but I was young and definitely didnt appreciate it. Id like to go back. The house my aunt and uncle live in is apparently one Dylan shared with Joan Baez during that whole period. The backyard gives me a feeling something bad happened there though (could be pre-, during, or post- dylan). There is a giants wood deck in the beck that covers up an empty swimming pool. For some reason it just feels like to me like someone didnt want to look at that pool anymore. I doubt the house resembles what it actually looked like back then anymore. My aunt and uncle did a lot of work on it because by their standards it was a "fixer-upper". I hope I get to move into a cool old house like that someday. Im the type of guy that doesnt like to change that stuff around very much.
3/25/08 1:04pm
Haven't heard the Portishead album yet. I am a bit nervous about it actually, the old stuff means so much to me, and I would hate to think of them doing a cash-in Cd, but what you said gives me a little hope. I know what you mean about the Stooges thing, the New York Dolls reunion was another slice of shite. I saw the Velvet Underground reunion in London in the early 90s, and it bore no relation to the original band. It was just a bunch of disparate people with nothing in common anymore trotting out tired versions of songs that deserved better. Portishead will only work if it is a living thing again. Beth Gibbons was always a little erratic, but I am hoping good things will come from this reunion.

Hi Mate, Looking forward to hearing your new mixtape. Your Uncle and Aunt living in Dylan's old house is interesting. I went to school with a guy who went on to live in the apartment where Hendrix had lived in over in Notting Hill Gate. I went round there expecting to find god knows what. It was 9 years since Hendrix had lived (and indeed died) there, and visiting there was an anti-climax, but I was still impressed for some odd reason. I suppose it is that idea of walking where those you admired walked. My wife and I did the Hearst Castle tour on our mini vacation last week. I was totally impressed and totally grossed out all at the same time. When we were shown a few old home movies, including one of Charlie Chaplin playing tennis there, and then went on to see the tennis court looking as it had in the film, I was oddly moved.
3/25/08 1:07am
PSs. The new Portishead is very interesting. I think it is a worthy follow-up and not a "Stooges The Weirdness" - level debacle.
3/24/08 10:55am
Hi friend, Im going to be uploading a new mix sometime this week that I think you might be interested to check out. Its more on the "Really rockin'" end but I think you might find some stuff you havent heard before that you might enjoy.
PS. Random Clint Eastwood trivia:
He used to be the Mayor of Carmel, California. My Aunt and Uncle live there in Bob Dylans old house. Lets just say the town is populated by "Fancy types".

Hi mate, I am consumed with getting my book ready for publishing (it is just about community theater) but otherwise things go well. I aim to download your new mix. I did see that you had it up there in the forums!
3/13/08 10:38pm
Hey there!
You might enjoy a few of the bands featured on my newest mix i posted in my thread in the forums. Hope things are well!

3/7/08 8:21pm
No nI didn't get any Oxes stuff yet but thanks for reminding me I want to. My heqad is like swiss cheese just lately
3/7/08 5:34pm
Did you ever end up getting your hands on some Oxes stuff?
3/7/08 9:37am
I am of the mind that Bill & Ted marks a high point in Reeve's career, with Constantin as a low, but what the fuck do I know about anything. I thought for many years that balancing a beer bottle on my head was as good as it got!
2/17/08 10:25am
Me too. I think it says something about McEnroe (not neccesarily something good) that he accepted the offer of the lessons.
2/6/08 11:53pm
If I answered the door and Bowie was there, I would crap my pants. Then after he left i would crap them again.
2/6/08 11:44pm
Haven't checked the mp3 disc yet but I will. I actually want to put something together for you tonight before I go to bed. Back to The Oxes, I just love that kind of sloppy but totally wholehearted stuff. They will be youtubed. I am going out of town tomorrow so plenty of time to listen to everything!
1/21/08 10:37pm
Did I send you any of their stuff on the MP3 disc? The oxes i mean? I wanted to. They rock and they are the silliest guys ever. I saw them open up for Big Business and These Arms are Snakes a few years back in a venue thats the size of my living room (literally). They wanted to cover "These Bones" by Alice in Chains, but none of them knew the words so they had someone from the audience sing while they covered it to perfection. They also told a bunch of bad jokes and one of the guitar players went anjd hung out out front of the venue and hit on girls walking by as he solo'd. Now they are sueing Old Navy because Old Navy started using a print of one of their concert posters for a T-shirt design without their permission. I recommend looking them up on youtube. They have 2 full length albums an EP and a "Split EP" with Arab on Radar. I put quotation marks on "Split EP" because Arab on Radar doesnt really appear on the EP. They just wanted to have a split.
1/21/08 10:26pm
I like almost everything and dirty loud and sloppy music was what I was in the mood for today. Thankee Sir!
1/21/08 9:53pm
I need the Oxes playing in my living room NOW!
1/21/08 9:53pm
Good deal. I was hoping you hadnt heard any but Im happy with just one.
1/20/08 8:12pm
The cds of destiny arrived today. Thankyou thankyou thankyou. I will play them when I get in tonight, but from looking at the track list, the only one I know is the BRMC one. I will listen to this a few times, then send you a collection of old fart music I think you might enjoy and might not have heard! Thankyou again. You brightened up a mega shit day!
1/19/08 6:41pm
I promise you im finally sending you the cd's tomorrow. Promise promise.
1/3/08 11:42pm
Happy New year. It is weird being sober on such a night, but the music, food and old movies are kind of making it ok. Have a fab gear and groovy 2008!
1/1/08 3:08am
Haven't heard either of them, but I want to. I will get that other album you mention. It's strange how sometimes odds and sods albums work out as if they were meant to be albums. My favorite Smiths album was 'Hatfull of Hollow' for instance. Looking forward to the pressies. I need an address so I can send you music by obscure but good old farts!
12/1/07 7:42pm
Woah! Cool! Im glad you like it! Its pretty epic eh? Are you aware its a one man band? Joe Preston is the guy inn Thrones. He used to play in The Melvins, Earth, Sunn0))), High On Fire, a band called The Whip w/ Jared from Big Business/Melvins. My favorite Track is Obolus. If you enjoyed that, I would recommend the Album imtitled a Day Late, Dollar Short, which is really a collection of odds and ends but really goes together like an album. There are some interesting covers on there. The ones off the top of my head that i can remember is a residents song and a the who song.
Also, I should be sending you presents this week. Have you heard Pelican or Red Sparowes?

I meant to tell you, I got the Thrones album. It is bloody good!
12/1/07 4:40pm
Give me your address. Also, any bands you have been wanting to check out that I can burn for you?
11/11/07 4:35pm
SHIT MAN! Im glad that you are ok! Can I send you a mix?
11/11/07 1:42pm
some nonsense about a heart attack! However, I am ok, and back home. It's an 'old man who has not exactly led a pure life' thing! I'm ok mate
11/11/07 11:17am
I am full of anti-depressants and cake! We leave for the coast for two days of my wife's family in a couple of hours. Pretty much 48 hours of Mexicans staring at me thinking I am clinically insane. They are right of course. I miss beer!
11/5/07 5:59am
I'm coping. I am a fan of Arrogant Bastard ale these days. How about yourself? How are you doing?
11/5/07 12:52am
Cheers mate. Computer problems have kept me away from here for a little while, but things are mostly sorted out now! I miss you too!
10/11/07 4:11am
I agree with you on the radiohead business and I miss you

Great Kurt Vonnegut badge! You deserve it!
9/11/07 10:17pm
Too true. Kiedis is the kid who spoils it for everybody!
9/4/07 12:43am
Cheers mate! I like you too. You are one of the main reasons this site is so compulsive, but you know this. My bass player just joined yesterday, and I am about to try and find his profile.
8/30/07 10:35pm
Happy Birthday!
PS I like your avatar a lot. And you.

All of the people that I'm "Super" compatible with have a lot of the same bands as me, but also listen to some horrible shit (ie Kelly Clarkson, the Rent soundtrack, etc)
8/20/07 8:19pm
Hello yourself. I finally got to spend a bit of time on last.fm the other day. I do think their grading system is whacked. You and I have 'very low' musical compatability according to them, like that is a bad thing. I would have thought that a plus personally. I don't need to be conversing with people who like exactly what I like because I would never be exposed to anything new that way.
8/20/07 1:58pm
Smog has a song called Cold Blooded Old Times which was on the High Fidelity soundtrack. It's on the album Knock Knock. That might be a good place to start. Dongs of Sevotion is a good album.
6/23/07 11:58am
I will search out Smog today. Terry Callier, I have listened to for sometime. I knew a little bit about him, that he left the music business early on and came back much later, but I will check out the Wikipedia entry now! Cheers mate
6/23/07 5:47am
Have I ever told you that you that I love you? Oh And the bands I recommend specifically to you from my mix that you might not have heard is Smog (honastly top notch songwriting almost along the lines of Velvet Underground) and Terry Callier (You have to hear his voice). I also recommend checking out Terry Callier's wikipedia entry as it is quite interesting. Awhile back I put a massive attack song on a mix and I mentioned how whoever sang it had one of the most soulful voices Id ever heard. Well I found out after I discovered Callier that it was him on the song.
6/23/07 2:55am
Thanks for backing me up in the forum MTC discussion.
6/10/07 7:40pm
I almost put 'Queen Bitch' on as the Bowie contribution, but Rebel Rebel started playing in my head as it is wont to do, and it had to be in!
4/23/07 11:39pm
Great, I will snag that and listen to it. Cheers
4/16/07 2:13am
I uploaded my last mix. the link is on the tagboard for the mix.
4/16/07 1:05am
Oh and thanks very much. That story is amazing.
4/12/07 8:08pm
I'm gonna upload the mix when I get a spare moment.
4/12/07 8:08pm
ps. I totally ate at a resteraunt called THE BIG BEAR on my last trip back from OREGON.
3/24/07 9:09pm
All of the track numbers that you didnt know were the non-UK ones. All of them I highly recommend.
3/24/07 9:08pm
Its ok, Ive lost touch w/ pretty much everything.
3/22/07 7:39am
Sorry for the delay in replying. I wasn't aware of 1, 7, 13,14, 16 for sure. I may be from the UK, but I haven't been home for three years, the longest I have ever been away, and I have lost touch.
3/22/07 12:44am
ps. Which ones are you not aware of? Id say at least half are british or on british labels.
3/14/07 1:02am
It would be a pleasure grabbing a pint with you as well. (Even though I have technically stopped 'grabbing pints'.)
12/6/06 4:35pm
especially anybody else that is in the chili peppers. Frusciante pulls my heart strings.
11/28/06 1:27am
Frusciante sounds better to me every time I hear him. Can't say that about hardly anyone else.
11/27/06 11:16pm
You sneaked up at the end on the contest. Well done!
11/12/06 6:55pm
ps. Let me know what you think of the Murder City.
11/5/06 6:20pm
Thanks for your opinion! Im also glad to hear about the Murder City Devils cds.
11/5/06 6:18pm
The Seeds I've heard of, The Murder City Devils I haven't, so I will look ito that right away. Cheers! I have discovered more new music in the month I have been on the collective than in the previous five years combined, which I guess is what it is all about!
