dude, my mix is pretty much exclusively third-wave ska, except for the specials at the end, which is second-wave. maybe youre too elitist for the third-wave but thats the ska that i grew up on. and you pretty much cant make a third-wave ska mix without having most of it be ska-punk bands.. since thats pretty much what third-wave is. ska is built on a fundamental rythm, which all of these bands use.. i would never define ska as anything that has horns, and i havent. if you listen to my mix you will notice that every song is built off the same rythm, whether it has horns or not. they all have the same elements of ska in them.
my point is, you cant say this mix is not ska.. it might not be the oldschool second-wave ska like the specials or even first-wave like the skatalites, but it is still ska.. every one of those bands was influenced by bands like the specials and the skatalites, and they developed their own style of ska which became the third-wave.
