Below you will find the extracted and combined tags between Bea's and brokenbil's tagboard, arranged in chronological order for your viewing pleasure.Hi again! Yeah, Portishead were PHENOMENAL. Beth Gibbons was just as sexy as I've always imagined her to be live. And I think that they did very well with the new songs. Plus they almost started the show with Glory Box and almost ended it on Roads, which is how I had it in mind before the concert, so that was effing great. The supporting act was strange, to say the least. A British instrumental band who call themselves Kling Klang.
I'm afraid I don't know more than two songs by Crowded House either, so if you make the tape, I'd like to hear it too. I'd say you can always adjust the tracklist how you want the songs to play if you think the selection is otherwise perfect. Just to add something to it. But if the compilation is flawless, it's flawless.

Hey, how was Portishead? I hope you had a great time.
We (me, my wife Michelle, my sister-in-law Tracy, my brother-in-law Wayne, and our friend Scott) just got tickets to see Crowded House in May. Scott only knows two of their songs, but the rest of us have been fans for a long time. Wayne grew up in New Zealand listening to Split Enz, the band that preceded Crowded House. I have to make Scott a Crowded House mix. Should I just copy their greatest hits collection or choose my own list of songs?

I don't know. The show starts in less than four hours... Wow, it really bums me that I'm going alone. I've been lying in my bed for four hours watching movies and watching the traffic outside my window.
Yes, I speak a little bit French, mais c'est très mal. I prefer writing, I like grammar. :) And Spanish is such a cool language too-1 I want to learn it so bad! Maybe after I've got a good hang on my French.
Now if you'll excuse me I will continue to watch Lost in Translation and then I'll go out and buy me a new pair of shoes. And THEN I will see Portishead. Au revoir !

Cool, Portishead this Friday! Wow, that's great! I'm sure you'll have a terrific time even if you go to the show by yourself.
Ah, you took French instead of German. Can you speak and write in French? I studied Spanish in school, but only remember un poquito.

Oh yessss. This Friday. I'm really excited! The only down side to it is that no one I know got tickets, so I'll be going alone. Which doesn't REALLY matter, I guess.
Nope, I don't speak German unfortunately. It's true, though, it's very popular here. I decided to learn French instead, but German's so much easier for us to learn. But I don't understand a word of it. Anyway. German teachers tend to be a bunch of tight assholes - pardon my French.

No Rufus, but you will see Portishead, right?
I haven't tried to find my friend Eva on Facebook, perhaps I should.
Do you know German as well as English? All the Danes I met in Australia did. I was jealous of their trilingual abilities.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. I mean, who the fuck sits through a four-course dinner while R. Wainwright is performing. I'm sorry, it really gets to me, probably because I want to see him so bad..
Have you tried hitting your friend up on facebook? Very few people aren't on it, I think. It's almost an epidemic over here.
Ha ha, we're wealthy and have all the time in the world, that's why you see Danes everywhere. ;)

$200 for Rufus? Wow, that is a lot. Too bad. :-(
Yes, my friend's name was Eva Balslev. I haven't seen her in over 20 years. (I am old.) I tried to get in touch with her before my high school reunion last year, but I didn't find the right Eva Balslev. I'm not sure why she was in the States. Many of my international friends had parents studying at the Institute for Advanced Study or the Princeton Theological Seminary. (I grew up in Princeton, New Jersey.)
I met a lot of Danes when I traveled to Australia when I was 19. They were cool. :-)

I will not be seeing Wainwright in concert actually. It's a concert paired with an exclusive dinner, and tickets go for $200 or something like that. I just wish.
Oh, really? A lot of people from here go to the States to attend high school at some point (usually when they're 15-16), now that I think of it.

Bea, thanks for the welcome! I wish I could see Rufus Wainwright in concert, too. (Incidentally, one of my high school friends was from Denmark.)
