Thanks, glad you are enjoying it...break out the elitism and show those people with shitty taste who is boss! I've been holding out on my musical taste elitism for awhile because I wanted to make sure not to scare anyone away until the community was strong enough to survive....but now that the numbers are increasing I'm getting excited to start berating people's shitty mixes!

Hey Corey popping in to say hello! Wanted to let you know that I am having so much fun talking shit to people who like awful music, esp. emo gel bands. Thank you and Eric for making this fun stuff! Okay off to unsettle, and cause hate towards me. LOVE

Hahah no hard feelings...liner notes are pure sarcasm...and yeah I probably could have responded better than 'crap descriptions'...since this website is eric's and my lovechild, I sometimes get attached to the site and when I was looking through at new mixes, there were like 9 mixes in a row without descriptions and I got frustrated thinking people weren't taking this seriously...but I was over-reacting. No hard feelings. Oh, and for the record, my mix descriptions are absolutely 100% self-indulgent =D.

It seemed like you were telling me what to dooooo rather than leave an opinion. Which made me want to fight you. Plus your liner makes you sound like a dick. Plus I'm a jerk. Mostly. If you want people to express themselves more in the descriptions, you probably shouldn't drop tags like "crap descriptions". Raises the ol hackles dont you know. No hard feelings?

I never said my descriptions were good...and I agree, a lot of mine aren't relevant to the purpose on the mix...I'm still trying to get the hang of finding the best way to describe a mix...if you don't like my descriptions, rate me down...all I'm saying is putting something helps give a point of reference. If I look at a mix and see a bunch of tracks I like, yeah might be a good collection of songs, but this isn't the playlist collective, it's supposed to be about expressing. If you want to express your mixes without any descriptions, that is fine...but don't get upset if others don't connect with it and choose to rate it down.

Actually I've just read ALL of your own descriptions and, no offense, but I find them to be greatly contrived. I personally would be much more interested in reading ANYTHING else, than what age you started listening to the band, or what year things came out, or how much you "know" about them. Loosen up. Be natural. Don't be afraid to be creative. That's what this whole place is about right? Let the music speak for itself. Literally only exists as symbols in dreams. If you say a word enough does it not lose it's meaning. Where's your art man? Where's the code to your higher self? Where's the passion about what you actually feel? Does a song actually make you automatically say to yourself, "I started listening to this at age 11." Where's the depth? I just see flatulance and a regurgitation, that is very close to being driven by ego and insecurity. Don't worry, a plague that afflicts most. That's my opinion, and +5 for the feedback. I would love to see some direct inspiration. Even the first word that comes to your mind when a single note of that epic written piece, speaks to you and moves you in ways words never could.. You like good music, you make good mixes. Now let go...
