Shadoobie. This is a FTOTZ mix I made for mandalaya, from Rotterdam. I let her know that she could be my proxy on July 6th and attend the Metropolis Festival at Zuiderpark and see DeVotchKa and Murder By Death for me. (see Mix Contest XXI entry). I tried to stick with an all 1899 feel, but the occasional electric guitar and existential trip to the 1970’s sneaked in. This is another soundtrack for another film in my head. It has a loose narrative that I’m a teenager in 1899 and Spring Break is approaching. Please to enjoy. Skadoosh.

Still loving this song. ACE! I finally read the lyrics to this song. “Got to get away, don’t want to stay, leavin’ tomorrow by subway” (not “some way” like I had thought). Pity.

“Sweet” doesn’t adequately describe this young woman. OK, four tracks in, and finally something sounds like it could be from a porch in 1899 rural America.

The town is having a dance. Phil Lynott gave this group a wet willie during a séance and this is the result. Shiny. If this song was a pill, it would induce the feeling and anticipation of the night of your high school graduation party. Some rare cases have shown symptoms of hot dog fingers and pork swords.
