i had a favorite pair of glasses... glasses that i wore pretty much all the time. we were a team, my glasses and me. we laughed and cried together. i took them to the doctor when they were bent and not feeling well. they helped me read and drive and not get headaches when i stared at a computer screen for too long. they were the best things that ever happened to me.
and then they disappeared on a camping trip.
