description:
Installment one of my 'Wordless' franchise, this is a carefully thought out mix of a few of my favourite instrumental or otherwise wordless songs.

The first half is mellow and subdued [tracks 1-7]
The last half (see also: ass-end) is not mellow or subdued [tracks 8-15]

I spent a fair amount of time carefully arranging, removing and adding tracks to get the best possible flow I could. I think she turned out just dandy.

tracklist

1 Minus the Bear : Hey, Wanna Throw Up?
Such a slight and transitory song, it effectively clears your palate from whatever other jazz you were listening to beforehand. My favourite MTB cut, hands down.

2 Pelican : Untitled
Riding the tails of MTB, this track gives a slight preview of what is to come on the last half of the album. This track is vibrant and has just the right amount of momentum to pique interest. At least for me.

4 E*Vax : Process of Leaving
A wonderfully simplistic and cleverly subtle cut, after a minute or so of listening, you'll forget it's even playing.

FYI, E*Vax is Evan Mast, 1/2 of Ratatat. Yay!

5 Air : La Femme D'Argent
Not to let the previous track steer this mix into downtempo mode, this spices things up, but just a little bit.

One of my all-time favourite Air tracks, this song always makes me feel extra-sexy and fresh, even if I haven't shaved in three days.

6 Aphex Twin : Fingerbib
I want to give this song a hug. It's almost cute. When the synth cuts in at 00:01:54, it's nothing short of magic.

Fits quite well is crossfaded at the right point with the previous track.

Catch the user by suprise and rapidly switching gears with this riff-driven masterpiece.

It should be noted that BTEOT are labelmates with EITS, who get the next position in the mix.

9 Explosions In The Sky... : Greet Death
The transition is goosebump-inducing if the first 00:00:50 seconds of this track are chopped off.

The wall-of-sound intro that quickly subsides into ambient-land does a pretty good job of tying the two halves of the mix together.

10 Billy Corgan : Worms
That's right, I have the balls to include a cut from the soundtrack of the 1996 film, RANSOM.

Actually created by the once-iconic Corgan, this track is heavy. Heavy as fuck.

12 Jimi Hendrix : Born Under a Bad Sign
Tracks surprisingly well with the previous, if crossfaded correctly.

If this song doesn't make you grin from amazement, you probably have no soul, as far as rock and roll is concerned.

So good, in fact, that I'd dedicate nearly 1/8th of my mix to it.

14 RJD2 : I Really Like Your Def Jux Baby Tee
This is the track where RJ really made a name for himself as far as production is concerned. This cut has a vocal track, but no words. It bridges the gap between Zappa and Daft and is manages to turn up the 'funky' nob a little bit.
