I, like so many others in the world, work at a job where I must serve people. My chosen proffession is bartender and I work at a bar that specializes in whiskey, cheap $2 dollar shots of Jim Beam is our daily special. Anybody who has ever imbibed the brown spirit knows it is a unique brand of inebriation all it's own and I have to play babysitter to grown middle aged men who think they can still drink like they are 21 years old. I say "think" because it becomes apparent after the third drink they can't. This is my walk to work mix as of the past 3 weeks I hope you enjoy.

This is the first mix I am posting so what better to make a mix about than all those squishy feelings that music so often inspires. These are not your typical love songs so I would suggest against trying to make out to this mix; but if that happens than you got yourself a keeper. Get a feel for it I hope you like it and enjoy.

I work in a bar blues band in CA and I am doing a gig on my fiftieth birthday. Just for the night, we are going to play songs from the previous 50 years that I love, including rock, punk, funk as well as blues, and 96 Tears will definitely be on the agenda. The Mysterons were the bad guys on my fave TV show when I was a kid, Captain Scarlet, and the announcer at the beginning used to say "But who are the Mysterons?"

Mixies used to happen bi-monthly, but over the last year it's dwindled & there were only two trades. It was such a great trade though, the leader Christine would pick a theme & folks would sign up & send two or three (three if you wanted a copy of her contribution as well) copies of their mixes to her by a predetermined date. Then she would mix 'em up & send each person two or three mixes by different folks. was such a great thing because you never knew what you'd get until they arrived in the mail & showed how different people interpret themes. For now I check in weekly just to see if the theme has changed, the site's still up, but it hasn't been updated since January.
