Hey man,

This is your future self from an undisclosed time down the road. I watched a movie tonight that inspired me to send you this tape. Here is the password you/I decided on a few years ago, on the off chance that you ever were able to travel in time and contact yourself ~

Now that I have your attention, let me get a few things out of the way and then I'll tell you the main reason for sending you this:
1) No major alerts to report (no family deaths, catastrophes, etc.)
2) Good job on all of your hard work in school this quarter. You will receive straight A’s. Mom has good intentions and will get you a Nintendo, and you will never get straight A’s again. Just letting you know. It seems like the NES and the introduction of basic cable kill your good study habits. Guess what, music can work WITH homework, so here is this tape.
3) Be nice to everyone. It seems like you will cross paths again and again, with everyone you meet now.
4) If you like the girl that sits by you in home room, let her know.
5) I won't list all the things that you should and shouldn't buy, but don’t bother with football and/or baseball cards. And DO NOT SELL 86/87 Fleer basketball rookies.
6) Basically, save your money.
7) Friends – Eric will introduce you to John and Bill, if he hasn’t already. Stick with those two, and not with all of the neighbor kids. Also, there is a certain girl that lives in a corner house near you, that can be a good friend to you. I’m not telling you who she is, so remember point #3.
8) Never use words you do not know.
9) You have some great people to look up to in your neighborhood, to whom you really should pay attention.
10) Everything will fall into place.

Ok, I know that your biggest source of agony and frustration shoots out of a certain half-pint with the initials BG. Don’t worry about him, or anyone else. I'll share this next bit of information, but you have to promise not to share this with anyone. BG's wife's maiden name will be Pead. Pead Green. Is that funny enough to you? Think about that and smile, whenever he makes your life miserable in Ingersol’s class. Please know that everyone in seventh grade is trying to find their own identity, and others around you are about as lost and scared as you may feel. This tape is intended to give you some guidance and is a gift from me to you.

This tape contains some of your new best friends. Weird Al will continue to put out a few more good tapes, but right now, I think you could use more than Polka Party, Dare to Be Stupid and Thriller.
