I'm overwhelmed with music lately. Actual physical 45's, mp3's, CD samplers, local shows, and the random function on the mp3 player have my head swimming. I revert to super music fan mode when life becomes too disheartening and use mixtapes to suss out something to hold onto. So here I am, making a mix again for an imaginary someday.

The Yay! Badge VII
Full marks. I was hooked at track 2, but adding Siouxsie and the Banshees never hurts a mix. This is the second mix I've seen post Crystal Stilts. Ok, ok, I'll check them out. Great looking mix.

Anyone who has posted a mix on this site has used music like you do. It is the buffer we use to shield us from the shit the world flings at us like a monkey on the warpath. What I know of this is wonderful. One small point? The Uk's other punk band in 1977? I was there and there was a wondrous mix of punk bands then. It was the year after the Summer of punk, and already the scene was in decay but believe me, there was a lot of great bands around then! Great mix though.

I can understand resorting to music when life gets rocky. I'm going through that. I've been obsessing over live music, and bands outside of Texas, in hopes of getting the courage to actually leave. I really enjoyed this mix. :)
