Following the instructions, I tried to keep it summery and upbeat, though there are a few exceptions.
A favorite album opener
A song from a movie
A song that the Wu Tang Clan would make fun of
A song used in a TV commercial
A song where the title of the song is not in the lyrics of said song
A song by a 'grunge' band
A song by a two-hit wonder (or a one-hit, this one is hard...)
A song that your parents would probably disapprove of
A song that references the internet / computers.
* Guilty pleasure wildcard *
A short song
A song for listening to while playing the original Zelda
A theme song for your personal montage
Teenage angst
My, that's a funky-ass bassline you have there
Fuck this, I'm leaving

My entry for Mix Contest 5, I think most of the links aren't too tenuous, most are linked by collaborations.

I tend to think of robots as futuristic, scientific, ruthless and streamlined, so I tried to match that with song choices except at the end when my robot got a bit sentimental and started worrying about his lovelife. Is love possible when you're made of metal?

Ok, this is what I would listen to if I really wanted to indulge myself and force out those tears. Where I could, I tried to let the lyrics speak for themselves.

All these songs have some sort of colour in the title, so i combined them all to make a rainbow. Aw.

A mix I created when having trouble sleeping before my french exams, hence the french title. Best listened to in the dark, after midnight when tired and weary. Also intended to stimulate dreams.

I made this mix cd for my friend Victoria. As I'm leaving our hometown at the end of the summer, I wanted this cd to be happy and upbeat and something she could look back on and remember this summer by and also something we could stick on during in the days whilst recovering from the night before.
