I don't think I will be dressing up for Halloween, but I am going to a November 5th party (oddly enough on 3rd November) with a bunch of other ex patriot Brits. Nov 5th, Guy Fawkes Night, is when the English celebrate a a man who unsuccessfully tried to blow up Parliament four hundred years + ago by eating, drinking, letting off fireworks, burning effigies on bonfires and wearing masks with silly moustaches on. Since I lived in the USA I miss it actually! Back in the day, my favorite outfit to a costume party was a mafia hit man but with the head of a giant yellow bird. Sobriety takes the edge off that kind of thing, but it seemed good at the time. I take it you will be dressing up?

Depends on the personality of the person looking to move there. Would I recommend it to eric? Nope. You? Maybe. I like it but thats with me not counting many shitty aspects of it of course. But you get used to the way things go here, and there are many pluses as well. If the personalities of the people around you effect your inner happiness I would say stay away, cuz this place is a personality bog of eternal stench. If you can ignore and make the best of that sort of shit than you'll be just fine.

There is a dog park here, but it is oh so far away and in a neighborhood filled with untrained pitbull-mastiff mixes. No size segregation. That is one bite (if they could catch my dogs: they are very, very fast) so we avoid it. But there is a brilliant park just by my house, there are ducks and geese and squirrels to distract. We head over there (just about) every night and waste at least an hour.
