There's no shortage of sad songs about rainy days and lovers who don't bring flowers. And then there are songs that truly bring the pain -- songs so despairing they can make us wonder why we even bother. Here are 25 little ditties so crushing, they could knock Dick Cheney to his knees or just render his pacemaker usless [don't we all wish]
p.s.] I'm going from 25-1 cause really thats how a count down goes.... so 1 is actually 25... got it... if not don't complain to me about your stupidity.
p.s.] this is very sad indeed to add to said sad song list, but alas I have lost the bottom half of my list in a move/ computer difficulty... so maybe with a little help from all of you, we can finish off the list?

so the time of going off on my own to college has rolled around and well I've been doing a lot of thinking, in fact while sitting on the porch having a cigarette and pondering the facts of my life, my father locked me out of the house for an hour untill after stepping on atleast 2 slugs, trying to get my dog to bark, and burning off a section of my hair with my lighter, I figured how to get back in[Garage door opener in my UNLOCKED car]

Alas the summer is ending and this is the last part of my 'Logan and Sarah' series. Camp ends August the 18th and then my little brother starts kindergarden. but I will be driving him to and from both till I leave for college in September. I incorporated one Cake song... because its my favourite Cake song... and well... it sort of goes with the whole driving theme. Anyways... I will miss these bonding times :(

Every Morning me and my 5 year old little brother get to have some awesome bonding time. This time is when I'm driving him to camp. I was raised on oldies, so I'm trying to get him into oldies... and boy does he love them.
His camp is three songs from our house so we either listen to the first or last three on the way there and then the other three on the way back.
The ride includes me and my brother singing along and dancing, major fun.

I have to deal with her all the time... constant cat fighting... her showing up at my work, house, etc. this mix was made after an altercation that just pissed me off so much that I even had to express my feelings in a mix. really she would be flattered at the fact I made a mix pertaining to her... but sometimes there are those people who just get to you so much and perplex you so that the thought of them just bothers you so much to the point where you want to remove part of your brain... yea... I'm getting to that point right now... LABOTOMY HERE I COME!

it's a mix of hope... and once again a mix that I did for someone that I had feelings for but at the time things wheren't working out and I wanted to give them this mix to try and see if it would push the scales in a possitive way...
I know at the end I have two Bright Eyes songs together but they flow so easily into one another that it went well with the mix.

I made this a while ago when my boyfriend was leaving for college just to say that i'm going to miss him and love him no matter what [even though I didn't end up giving it to him]. It's happy and upbeat-ish...I listen to it all the time.

No, I can't appreciate it as "music." But my question is: just because you and I (and probably the majority of MTC members) can't appreciate it, does that mean it is not good music? I mean, I'm sure there is someone out there who likes it. In fact, I work with a crap-ton of teenagers who love it. In their eyes, it is the definition of music. They hate it when I play Shellac or TV on the Radio. They think that stuff sucks. My point is that if someone can find something good about it as music, then maybe I can find what they have found if I search hard enough... But you won't find me doing any of this research any time soon.
