Today those of us in Oregon got hit by an unexpected snow storm. To my enjoyment I wasn't able to go into work, it was like mlk day x2. After spending the majority of the afternoon watching season 4 of degrassi tng, I decided it was time to get out of the house and take a walk. My mom and I walked around from the late afternoon into the evening. As usual, I brought my trusty ol' iPod with me and this is the mix I threw together.

Even though lyrically this is supposed to be a sad bastard mixtape, most of the songs don't really sound sad. The theme (with the exception of a few of the tracks) basically ended up being dumb bitches who left their man, which then makes the guy a sad, lonely bastard.

I started out making a mixtape for the contest of songs I have on vinyl, but then it ended up being a little more work than I had the patience for. So, I ended up doing it the iTunes way instead...so much for my attempt at being somewhat original with this. Oh well, at least you've got some eye candy as the cover art.

so here's just some music I've been listening to while studying for finals (last finals EVER)...there's no rhyme or reason for any of it really, 'cept for I like it and it keeps me awake while studying...I tend to fall asleep at random times in random places...I'm weird like that

I definitely suggest taking the old highway 30 back to Portland. It starts in TD, goes through some beautiful country and overlooks, gets back on 84 between Mosier and Ainsbury Park, and then you get back on 30 through Multnomah Falls and Crown Point until Troutdale. I take all my out of towners on that lovely drive.
There's some great wineries in the area, especially if you cross the bridge at TD and head east. The dive bars in town are entertaining to say the least. If you're up mid month, all the orchards will be in bloom and absolutely gorgeous. Let me know, I'll hook a friend of a friend of a friend up.
