you better come on into my kitchen, cause its sure to be raining outdoors.
there are very few things i hate as much as getting up early in the morning. after all the effort that goes into dragging my worthless ass out of bed, i am usually rewarded with the dark, gloomy, wet, soul-sucking black hole that is corvallis in the winter.
but all is not lost. good music can be the start of a good day. and makin that dolla feels good at the end of the month, or when you buy a brand-new truck like i did this sunday

Disappointment is a fact of life all must deal with. It can take on many forms: from not living up to your families expectations, to realizing someone does not care for you as much as you care for them.

In the not so distant future, man makes his most exciting invention yet: artificial intelligence. The machines were peaceful enough at first, but the nature of man has little room for peace. Following in the sad footsteps of their forfathers, man discriminated and hated these machines out of fear of something they were not willing to understand. Eventually man pushed too far.

This is my entry for the contest. Had to reach into my collection for a couple songs I haden't listened to in awhile. All of these songs envoke a sad feeling both through lyrics and music.
Hope you enjoy, will post a link once it has finished uploading.

This is a mixtape for Friday. Memorial services, even when done to "celebrate life" and not be gloomy, make me uncomfortable. It's for the mood I will be in.

The stream of conciousness "poem" presented here should resonate with anyone who has had to wait in line for the mens bathroom at the bar Cantina in Corvallis, OR on ladies night. Ah the joys of waiting in a long-ass line while women keep cutting in front of some dick who thinks he has a better chance of getting laid by letting a sloppy-ass drunk girl take a piss with her friend in our bathroom.
No I cannot hold it better because I have a penis. After two PBR man-cans and 3 double rum and coke's things are going to evacuate whether I like it or not.
Thank (insert diety here) for the alley.
-------------------------------------------
Slow and low-
Heaven-
beside you...
You know what you are?!
Are you in?
In the waiting line?
Lines across eyes-
to form shadows-
that move.
Move bitch!

This is a mixtape of songs that gave me the chills the first time I heard them. In fact, most of them still get me all tingly. The reasons for such vary between songs, although I noticed a decent amount have a relationship dynamic to them. Maybe those feelings spewed forth more intensely from the artists, maybe its purely coincidence, or maybe I'm a big pussy and thats what hits me. Either way, these songs do the trick. There are others out there, but these are the ones that were currently on the mind...

This mixtape is a collection of songs that I thoroughly enjoy when I'm in one of those mellow, contemplative and somewhat antisocial moods. Most of them are real calm, a few are somewhat upbeat, but they all contribute to the mood in some way. The songs are arranged for a swelling effect that keeps feeling, but doesn't put you to sleep.
