cot damn, lil' wayne, who would've thought. i've always had a spot in my heart for cash money, birdman, and all that... and i'm more accepting than most music geeks tend to be when it comes to "mainstream" / "ig'nant" / "southern" / "above-ground" / "bad" / etc. hip hop music...

but i gotta admit i never suspected that lil' wayne would up and become one of the best 'round over the course of the last a year or so... this track is unfuckwitable. his flow has improved 100x, he's charasmatic, casual and not at all self-concious - all signs of a seasoned emcee. the beat's got an electro vibe, and its just fun as shit...

i've been called a backpacker, i've been on an anticon street team, i've been a pamphleteer for an immortal technique concert and i've seen blackalicious more times than i can count. i've got pretty varied intrests when it comes to hip-hop (and the outside wordl). thing is, as of late i've been leading a fairly busy "adult" life which affords me minimal time for pretension, which has, in turn, changed my listening habits..
