The Smell of Potpourri
2205 points (Level 5)
Date Created: 9/21/08 11:20pm
Description: Oh, what an aromatic blend, this Potpourri #3! Some so, so scary. Some so, so fun. Dry all the songs, toss them festively in a bowl and you have something titled Awesome. Or at least mildly noteworthy.
VAGINA: A Dedication
3435 points (Level 7)
Date Created: 11/19/07 7:50pm
Description: An ode to the cradle of life, a place where almost all of us have been at least once in our lives, a sacred area revered by many and made scandalous by more.
Plus the vagina is not represented properly nearly enough in music besides mainstream hip hop. Even then they talk about penises WAY more.

TO THE VAG!
It Was a Good Run
3028 points (Level 7)
Date Created: 3/20/07 9:37pm
Description: My musical footprint left in the dusty hallow that is planet Earth in 2393.
I think it sums me up nicely.
Quit Talking.
4136 points (Level 9)
Date Created: 11/17/06 10:54pm
Description: This has always been one of my favorite mixtape genres, and as you'll see in the following, I am loyal to a few of my favorite steamy songs.

In a mere hour and eighteen minutes you have aural sex, your personal audio elixir, from beginning seduction to ending afterglow. Guaranteed every time.
Nosferatu
3448 points (Level 7)
Date Created: 9/27/06 8:28pm
Description: My monsters are of the vampire vein. Here's how the night unfolds:

Songs 1-6: The Kiss and Transformation.
Songs 7-14: Realization of Being Undead
Songs 15-17: The First Hunt
Songs 18-21: Acceptance
Scholastically Yours...
2516 points (Level 6)
Date Created: 9/7/06 1:14pm
Description: I decided to pick tracks that fit the theme in title, and secondly in lyrical content or overall mood of the track. It forays into a number of genres (even shitty screamo!) for the sake of the student.
Aminals: A Crikey Commemorative
3142 points (Level 7)
Date Created: 9/5/06 5:28pm
Description: I was a big Steve Irwin fan. I'm a big animal nut in the first place, and his over-the-top enthusiasm and reckless-yet-skilled handling of some of the world's most dangerous creatures were always entertaining sights to behold. He was an amazing conservationist and educated people of all ages about endangered and relatively unknown species... his sudden passing is truly a sad event. Plus, who dies by getting stabbed in the fucking heart by a stingray? Only the Crocodile Hunter, man.
So here are some of my favorite tunes with animals (aminals) in the title or ones that I just deemed appropriate. There were a lot to pick from, but these struck my fancy. And don't forget to hug your neighborhood wallaby.
Infidelity
2884 points (Level 6)
Date Created: 8/24/06 12:56pm
Description: This mix is an emotional story arc of the cuckhold's story in an unfaithful relationship. It begins with suspiscion, jealousy, anger, denial, forced accpetance, then rings true with depression and longing, and tapers out with numbness and a distant resentment. All these emotions are pieces of glittering mica in the jagged conglomerate that can be labeled as "sadness".
When You're a Boy...
3296 points (Level 7)
Date Created: 8/1/06 10:07pm
Description: Finally! I finished this behemoth. I have about 3 unfinished branches off of this mix and gave myself a lovely headache whittling it down and stretching it out to this. Overall? I dig it. It constitutes a lovely hour of music. And that's what matters, right?
SNOOZE Superior
2905 points (Level 6)
Date Created: 7/1/06 12:17am
Description: iHome Mixtape Battle. Me vs. TheLucc. We both have this ever-impressive alarm clock stereo for our iPods. We both use it as a means of waking up to whatever daily drudgery lay ahead, and the song choice is key in starting the day off right. The difference? My song choices are better. Or at least I'd like to think so.
The first 30 seconds are all-important, especially when hitting the snooze button. I don't like to be jarred awake, so something that gradually amplifies is ideal.
And yes, the artwork is my bedroom, complete with my beloved iHome. If they could sponsor me, that'd be super.
Wine Snobs: Catering to the Masses
5063 points (Level 10)
Date Created: 6/25/06 11:57am
Description: I spend my weekends working in a wine tasting room. It's 6 hours of being bored, with the occasional couple or group coming in to parttake in the vino while I toss out flowery adjectives describing said vino. I need music that won't offend old people, yet will keep me somewhat entertained. Thus this mix was born. Mostly old school, mellow, feel good hits, with a smattering of newer artists that don't offend the palate. Fermented 75% in French oak barrels, 25% in steel barrels, so it gives a soft mouthfeel with a surprising crispness at the edges.
Desertion
2230 points (Level 5)
Date Created: 6/6/06 12:05am
Description: This might be my strangest mix yet, but I think the songs and artists blend pretty well to evoke the feeling of driving through a neverending desert in the middle of a blazing summer. Rock driven, spanish influenced, it's like the continuation of a Tarantino soundtrack. But prettier.
The Battleaxe's Run
2298 points (Level 5)
Date Created: 5/23/06 11:32pm
Description: A mix for hardass chicks (although not exclusively!). Some of my favorite songs to listen to while running. Driving rythmns, a fierce female vocalist, loud, strong, and willing to kick any dude in the balls, if necessary.
Campfire Mix
3406 points (Level 7)
Date Created: 5/18/06 9:45pm
Description: It's a summer dedication to camping... silly, a little more organic, slightly reminiscient... I always prefer my mixes to taper out at the end, and this mix is a perfect example. It starts out with uptempo, fun, energetic tunes and eventually settles down for the night with some acoustic, mellow, in-a-daze-staring-at-the-campfi re-wishing-the-summer-never-ends tracks. In fact I'm taking it camping this weekend.
Global Reverb Mix
3033 points (Level 7)
Date Created: 5/14/06 6:40pm
Description: A mix for sitting in the shade on a summer day, sipping something fruity, and chiiiiiiiilling.
