1	silver jews : Blue Arrangements
	I saw Silver Jews at a rock festival in my hometown a couple of years ago, and it might have been one of the most under-appreciated acts in the history of that festival. These practically-legends performed on a stage that otherwise was host of a number of unknown Swedish bands, half of them unsigned, the others just bad. They had been scheduled to play at the same time as some Swedish national monument (I don't remember, maybe Kent), and I felt downright sorry for them as they played their set for an audience of, oh...25 people? Despite that, they seemed good humoured about it, and I certainly have no complaints about their effort. SHOW MORE

3	Woven Hand : Dirty Blue
	Earthy, dramatic, gothic americana. I love Woven Hand so. I saw them live at a rock festival in my hometown (the same I saw Silver Jews, except Wowen Hand was this year, Silver Jews a few years ago), and David Eugene Edwards (does he ever shorten that?) was in a hilariously antagonistic mode. He was heckling the audicence, and the audience heckled him back, and in between, he performed magical songs like this one. SHOW MORE
