I often made a train trip from Zurich to the south of Switzerland, Ticino, when I lived there, just so I could gaze out the window.
The train line passed through some of the most spectacular scenery I've ever seen. Like looking at a series of postcards for a few hours.
Luscious greens, misty mountains (snow capped in Winter), waterfalls, fields painted yellow with flowers in Spring, sheepys...
This is a mix of some of the songs that kept me company on those trips. I thought I would dedicate a mix to Switzerland seeing as it played a pivitol role in my life.
Criteria: must compliment scenery

I've never really traveled by train before, not for hours anyway. This mix definitely makes me want to. Ah, great songs, the ones I know of. And it's great the way you have almost tagged the songs, like-- Lady Grinning Soul: waterfall, The Battle of Evermore: mountains etc. Or at least that's how I can see it now when I listen to the songs... NICE.

I love scenery mixtapes. I did one once for a train journey from London to Aberdeen. Nothing to match that Swiss scenery though. Great mix! Wonderful Beatles and Bowie choices.
