Being a troubled teenager, every once in a while there are fucked up situations that inspire me to make a tape.
Fucked up situation: He wanted me, I didn't know, now that he told me, I want him, but he doesn't want me anymore.
I'm still hopeful, though. (despite everything that happened)
Ah, love is cruel.

This is a mix to remind me of the good times I had in Argentina. Less than two weeks ago I was still there...Now I'm stuck in fucking Belgium.
I didn't pick the tracks, Argentina did. So don't blame me. Every song on this mix makes me think of Argentina, so it's all good to me.
Well, I sat in a helicopter, went out, danced to reggaeton, swam in Uruguay, I didn't kiss George back while we were watching Lolita together, had a great time with my cousins, and finally realized what a crappy country Belgium really is. Passionate love affairs? They're simple not going to happen here. I'll have to marry a foreigner and leave!

Starring Patrick Mcgoohan as No. Six.
I'm capturing my emotions in a mix. Noise-esque stuff, spoken-word and a big chunk of awesome freejazz. I feel so strangely attracted to Number 48. He reminds me of Alex in a Clockwork Orange. The white balloon in the image is called Rover. Yeah, make the link. This mix probably makes no sense at all. If it does, let me know!

All the songs on this mixtape were introduced to me by one very good friend of mine. We'll call him G, which keeps him mysterious. I went looking for grasshoppers with G this summer.

Some time ago, I started to make a mix for a friend of mine. She listens mostly to Whitney Houston, Pussycat Dolls, Christina Aguilera, Chris De Burgh,... kind of music. Cheesy, plain pop, and a bit of commercial R&B.
We kind of grew apart (maybe it was the music xD), but I decided to finish this mix today. These are all indie-ish bands covering pop songs, and a bit of whatever-you-call-that-genre music in the end.
I know it's rather short, but this isn't the easiest theme. I hope you enjoy.

This is my first mixtape on the site, so please comment! I'm new to all of this. I see this as a mix with an A side and a B side, one side being about locusts, grasshoppers and crickets, the other one about butterflies. I tried to build it up from soft and friendly to more electronic and less sweet, both for locusts and butterflies.
Why? Because I'm totally obsessed with grasshoppers. Ah...the love! Putting a grasshopper between your lips so you can determine what species another one is before you start looking at that one, running through the fields with your net trying to catch the ultra rare species you could possibly find there... You should try it too! It's easy to make friends when you're catching grasshoppers.
Grasshoppers and crickets belong to the family of the Orthoptera. Locusts belong to -surprise surprise- the Locusta. Locusts can behave like your ordinary grasshopper, living totally solitary. Or they can form a swarm and become a big biblical plague!
I didn't put anything from the band 'The Locust' in, grindcore just didn't seem to fit this mix. XD And butterflies are just beautiful.

When I went to Portmeirion, walkmans had just come out. I walked about the place with the theme tune playing. It was amazing. I met one person who had gone the whole hog, had a blazer just like the one number six wore. Before The Prisoner, McGoohan was in a spy show on TV which was called 'Dangerman' in the UK and 'Secret Agent' in the US. He played a guy called John Drake. I read somewhere that Number six was actually supposed to be the John Drake character once he had quit.

I see you like minimalistic classical. I really do too, except my knowledge of it only consists of second hand vinyl I've stumbled across and a few things from community radio. Do you have any reccomendations for stuff like that?

I should expect to be crucified, I put Escape From The Planet Of The Apes, which is the second Planet Of The Apes sequel above stuff like 2001. I feel like a criminal.)

I've been to belgium actually. I'm very sorry to say that i had a horrible time! but it's nothing to do with your country! It's just that belgium was right in the middle of my trip and after months of hostels i snapped, got a hotel room and stayed in there for two days.
(it was raining outside the whole time as well) so i never got to see brussels.
so stupid of me. i did attempt to meet up with a friend of mine who comes from brussels but everything went wrong and i couldn't find her.
so i locked myself up in the room and then went to amsterdam and had a fucking good time.

That is true. But generally hate is developed over time. Like or love can come a lot faster. When was the last time you started any friendship with hate?? Do you hate people when you first meet them? Or do you make an attempt to like them before you decide to hate them? It would make sense to me that you make an attempt to like someone first.. Thin line yes. But where do you like to start? Start with talking smack and wanting someone to hate you? It wouldn't make any sense to me that you would want to start a hate relationship or whatever. Not to mention, this is just the internet.
