my sister's taste in music is dope. how appropriate that i make a mixtape for her on her birthday. october 13 is a badass birthday. elizabeth is a badass sister. this mix is a quaint collection of badass songs divided by donuts, one of my favorite albums that i think liz would really enjoy. next time you come to town, sis, we'll enjoy it together! i love you!

egg whites are nice, but dry out the dough before baking, my route calls for taking it slow - simply cater to taste, to get your cookies to crisp, don't waste mixing energy by hooking your wrist - and omit an egg, remember temperature, bake low, it's more than just the wet to dry ingredient ratio - keep it warm, 325, watch closely, if it puffs up, don't be alarmed, let it rise - it'll settle completely, give a generous greasing before so you can pry from their settlement neatly - try to skip the inferno, batches burn post-sheet internally considering residual heat - and that's true for every cookie you bake, 'cause any bookie will take the odds of this tidbit slipping past you - patience is virtue for a perfectly done one, but face it, puffy tastes better to some tongues - so add back the egg from the last dough, attention those who gastro-battle with lactose - this dough lacks dairy, most importantly butter, but the flavor remains if applied the right shortening dose - up the fahrenheit 50 degrees, or else heat up anywhere else a standard 160 celsius - lastly, we gussy this cookie up by using cake flour, enhancing its puffiness vastly - chewy comes third, and for people like me the consensus tends toward this cookie being preferred - bread flour evens and rises, it airates, qualities delicate to heating devices - more brown sugar than white aids the gooey aspect utilizing the molasses inside - don't add the sugar until the butter's heated and melted, molecules are still bound when you cream it - take out an egg white and make that my quote of the day, it dries dough, but the yoke is okay - that's it, coveted cookies you don't cook, you bake three kinds make a rookie fall in love with his oven mit

this is a mix i made for the mix contest. there's not much i have to say about it. it's heavy, tasty, light, and razor thin! mind your step.

a mix for your first threesome. with two women or two men, depending on your preference. more precisely, it's for those who have not only thought about doing it, but really have it in them to make it as sexxy as it can be.

i recently read about banksy's release of imposter paris hilton cds containing slanderous tracks and doctored photos of the space princess. then i deducted that paris hilton was actually releasing a cd.
her album is wonderful, to be sure, and i felt compelled to celebrate her artistic expression in all its surefire glory.
"golden throats" was rhino's 1988 effort to showcase celebrities singing familiar songs, but i'd like to take it a step further. this is a mixtape of some genuine attempts of non-musical celebrities to actually write and perform songs.

this mix started as an assembly of songs with strong buildups and explosions at the end. then it was a mix that was supposed to be one big buildup...start sadly, build up, explode, and descend from the first track to the last. i wanted to represent a coming of age, so to speak - learning something important and continuing on the wiser.
then i started taking out songs and throwing in new ones, so now it's a bit of all three. it's tightened to 10 tracks as it's supposed to be a sudden realization type of event, which it only kind of is now.
despite the scattered description i think this is one of my favorite mixes i've made so far, so i'm interested in seeing how people respond.

a cornelius song played at random on my mp3 player, and it hit spot on my mood, which was light, hazy, distorted, cool, confusing, and happy. it made me want to quit whatever it is i do in my life and spend the rest of these days wandering the world and listening to songs like these. you know, the lazy wo/man's ultimate fantasy? i'm pretty sure you all have this experience from time to time. here's the mix it inspired.

these a few of my favorite hip hop songs, mostly from back in school. i generalized this mix because, frankly, i don't make many mixes entirely of hip hop. so i've assembled some of the notable hip hop experiences i've had. i put a lot of my focus on the flow of this mix, and i ordered the tracks to transition as smoothly as possible from each one to the next, which is why most of what i explain in the descriptions is sound.

this mix focuses mostly on the aspects of school that make you never want to step back into those buildings again. most of my scholastic experience was in a sheltered, mostly-white catholic school. if you go to your 10 or 20 year reunion simply to verify that those people are as crazy as you now think they are, you may want to play this mix in the car on the way there.

one day i broke up with my girlfriend. three days later, we were back into it (snafu). this is the mix i made for her, trying to explain why i am the way i am, and why i do the things i do. i concede it's not technically a good mixtape...repeat artists, clumpiness, and so on. but as a part of the collective, i think it's only right that i put my real life mixes out there. stay tuned for a blisteringly cold iceheap of a mixtape, though. for serial.

this mix is dedicated to the pirates, conquistadores, and explorers of love, youthful and bloodthirsty. not the love of a happily married couple, but the love of bouys and gulls, naive and seasick, with a lot to learn but never to understand.
just for fun, i'm gonna let the girls and guys tell it separately, ladies first. and for the sake of balance, i'll throw the duets in the middle.
i picked each of these songs like a preschooler picks a pumpkin. and with mudded palms and fingers i'd like to hand it off to the community for smashing on my porch, depending on what kind of neighborhood this is.

my sophomore effort is another otherworldly mixtape. redundant? maybe. asshole. but i'm talking movies here. generally, there's a hue of 80s adrenaline cheese, fantastic boyish indulgence, and and a sense of mystery. a certain elusive character ties these movies together, except possibly for the beastly disney track. but it certainly rocks in its lynchmob mania. also, all of the movies are at least partially animated, claymated, puppeted, or costumed.

this mix narrates the true story from when i was commissioned by a hypersecret-turned-rogue faction of the japanese military to probe the harpold galaxy. my mission, to the faction, was to defuse a curious radiation pulsating from one of the axes in the galaxy's seventh frond. my personal goal, however, was to make it home alive, albiet 3 thousand millennia in the future. it began with thud on my doorstep one autumn afternoon in atlanta, georgia.
